I feel like I have nothing else to do, and I've been tempted to do this for the last day, so I'll post my next blog for anybody interested in it. Like before, I promise this one will be shorter.
While there aren't very many things that authors do that annoy me, there is one thing that sometimes makes it very hard for me to start a story, and that is the description of it. There is a saying "Don't judge a book by its cover", but very few people actually follow this rule, including me. The description of the story could be considered the cover of the story in this case.
Like I said before, if the description of the story is not done well, it makes it difficult for me even to start it. I'm not talking about the description not actually describing the story well, as few stories I've seen has actually had a bad description. What I'm talking about are things like horrible grammar and incorrect spelling in the description. If I read the description and see a ton of these errors, I probably already believe that the story will not be written well. One reason this happens is because many authors say that their original language is not English, but there are plenty of people out there that would proofread these stories to find these the errors. Another reason is that authors will write this entire story (or at least one chapter), but get lazy in the end and not have it looked at by one or more other people.
While many people aren't like me and either don't care, or don't even notice these errors, I know that there are quite a few out there that do. In the end, if I find the story's description interesting enough, I will put it on my 'read later' list, but there are actually quite a few stories on this list already because of this issue. I know that I'm only one person, and generally a single person's "vote" does not matter, but to me it does, so that is why I find this annoying.
Once again, to the few people that have so far even seen my blog, thank you for reading if you took the time to read these short, pointless essays. Because of the topic, I'm going to post this, but because this is only a blog, I don't have these posts proofread. I read through them myself and correct the errors I see, but I probably can't find them all. Except the run-on sentences. I'm not going to fix those.

PS: I know that this post isn't much shorter than my previous one, but it is. I'm trying to summarize my feelings in a smaller space, and I did a little...
