    Regarding Tower of Doom

I apologize for the long wait for the continuation of Tower of Doom. I meant for this story to be completed in time for Halloween, but for the last few weeks some real life matters needed my attention, so I had to step away from writing. I won't go into detail, but I will tell that I'm completely exhausted. But I do plan on publishing Chapter 4 some time this upcoming week, and the other

Multiple Plots · 7:01pm Apr 5th, 2014

I rarely create one central plot when I'm writing fiction. I always intend to have at least one central character and one main plot when I begin to write a story, but I find myself writing two or more storylines involving many characters. I have a hard time trying to keep up with most of them. I guess that's just my writing style, but I have to improve on that. There are already real-life writers that can pull that off better than I can; like George R. R. Martin and David Mitchell just to name a few.

I think the reason why this happens is that I like ensemble piece stories with multiple plots. I like watching anthology movies like Pulp Fiction and Sin City, and TV shows like Arrested Development. Works that have interrelated plots woven together is a favorite of mine. I always thought it was a cool way of telling a story. But sometimes I can go overboard with it.

Another reason as to why I write stories like that is because I like having characters from My Little Pony interact with each other that never had any dialogue together or have any affiliation with each other. Multiple plots also help me explore the ways how the characters would react to an event in the story or how would they reach their goal when the end approaches. Having several viewpoints in one story can be a good thing to an extent, especially regarding myself. Sometimes, multiple plot threads can fall apart and be left unresolved when not handled well.

So that is another thing I have to improve on, besides dialogue. That's the end of my rambling, I'll see you next time.
