Have some bad news.
Apparently, my mother formatted my external hard drive...
she fucking done it...
without fucking asking...
didn't think to I don't know...Check the amount of important shit I had on there? I all my music, programs, IRC client, a few videos but the real big shocker was that it had all my pony stuff on there.
Not too much of a shock since when I say pony stuff, I mean drawings, reference images mostly that took me a while to gather and a few episodes. But it also had the current chapter's word document on there.
So basically, my mother deleted my chapter... This happened on early Thursday.
So now I've been trying to remember everything I put into the chapter from scratch. So far, I've got almost 15k words done, added a couple extra scenes in there to help you guys see a bit more about some of the characters and of course, foreshadowing is bound to happen. Nearing drunk part of course (Seriously, how long is it going to be until I reach it!? Oh well. I guess it's better than having a short chapter with not much going on.
so yeah...Almost at drunk part...Pissed off at mother for deleting all my stuff...
The chapter may not be as good as I want it to be in the end, but that may change.
Thought of some things for the drunk part you guys have been probably waiting for. I'm really eager to get started on it, especially the ending of the scene.
Lets just hope I don't cock up the word document this time. That reminds me, I REALLY NEED TO SAVE IT NAO.
Never leave your computer parts where your mother, or other female family members, can find it. In my experience, they almost always f*** something in it up...
Sexist, this comment may be, but you know, I haven't found a woman yet that could handle any tech problems. It's kind of like female drivers...

1) Have you tried any "undelete" programs? You might be surprised :)
2) This situation proves that for the really important stuff you should consider storing them online AND on-site. Maybe a small pendrive hidden somewhere safe would be a good idea? But try to keep it in another room - fires do happen, you know...

Meh, I've got more done on the rewrite than the actual chapter itself. I'm going to have about 3 back up sources from now on.
