    Chemicals...

This has been something that has been on my mind a while, and I thought it may or may not be better to put this down here if for no other reason than to record my thoughts...(if they can even be called that anymore...)

My thoughts on piracy. · 9:20am Feb 25th, 2014

When one makes an idiot-proof product, someone will make a better idiot. The same goes for Piracy. It started With unprotected CDs. People started sharing them, so they were protected with serial codes. Then pirates made keygens. They were protected with server-synced DRM, so pirates made the IP-blocker thingies (I don't recall the term.) They introduced proprietary hardware limited int software, so pirates jailbroke it. As protective technology grows, so does the technology made to deceive it. Piracy and other cybercrime will eventually eclipse physical robbery as petty theft. Nobody will try and slip a DVD under their coat and walk out of the store, because they could just do it online. Whether or not it is morally excusable, and regardless of how much effort various governments put in to stop it, piracy will continue. Fifteen gigs on a dead mans drive, yo ho ho and a bottle of Coke.
