Twilight sparkle: weird world

A exert from my upcoming story. This chapter will probably be somewhere in the middle.
Characters

Twilight sparkle; the beloved princess from the show. After an accident where Discord loses control of his power she is sent to a strange dimension that randomly sucks creatures and things from all realities. Now stranded in this weird world she must make new friends and defeat new enemies

Locus; a friendly orphan who has no memory of his home world, he spent the past several years exploring the weird world and trying to make sense of his life. He walks on two legs and fights with a scimitar

Ware; Ware comes from a world where robots are organic and are at war with a deadly alien race. With a body that can hold 8 guns, and powerful hydraulic limbs, he is a strong warrior indeed. However he needs help from others as he poor motor skills and lacks creativity. He desperately seeks to return to his kind but instantly bonds with twilight and the group

Lipida; a strange creature lipida is essentially a giant cell. Her unique anatomy makes her essentially immune to traditional weapons but she can still be hurt or killed with the proper kind of damage “burns, magic ECT” Lipida is actually a mother and has a family in her home world. She desperately misses them but understands that twilight and the others are her best bet to return to them

Galavana; a tall female humanoid like creature Galavana got stuck in the weird world soon after twilight, she lacks combat skills, but is fiercely intelligent and excellent at navigation. Cold and full of self-doubt she seeks to make herself useful to the team even though she seems to have no interest in returning to her home

Boche; a strong armored creature who aids twilight and her friends. No one knows much about him but his help is invaluable. He teaches twilight and the others the vital skills that they must learn to survive and also seems capable of fighting even the strongest creatures of weird world. He disappears from time to time either solving problems on his own or helping others.

The bone man; a strange skeletal creature who always appears when he is needed most helping twilight and the group “ex. While being chased by a giant monster in a deep cave he appears and holds up a giant arrow pointing to the surface, shows up randomly in a fight saving there lives, throws them a rope when falling” he never stays around long enough to learn about him but he seems insane shouting nonsense mixed with cryptic advice. He appears to know everything about twilight and the group.

Fed: a powerful monster and evil counterpart to twilight. He is just as intelligent but much stronger than her. He seeks to kill all living things in the weird world and in all dimensions. He is aided by his army of “fed troopers” and other powerful allies

Vitus; an invincible warrior Vitus serves Fed without question. His body is indestructible and he appears to have infinite energy and skill. Frighten enough he is also very intelligent and appears well educated and experienced.

St Ardian the ghoul: a strange creature who serves Fed, St Ardian is a cannibalistic general of his army. He is very intelligent often several steps ahead of twilight. But he is vain and not on par with twilight and her friends in combat

Muskcrab; a former musketeer human trapped in the weird world, now a hideous half man half crab cripple. He is one of the two leaders of the only civilization in the weird world however he runs it more as a criminal enterprise. Muskcrab is ruthless and cunning but cares very much for his small empire.

Bug-man; a tall bipedal insect bug man is the more benevolent leader of the civilization and actually helps Twilight and her friends when they first start off. He is however untrustworthy and appears to have a hidden agenda.

This chapter is probably placed in the early to mid section

“Twilight?” asked Galavana Twilight shook her head out of her thoughts and turned to her simply giving a “hmmm” Galavana took a deep breath and said “so what if your wrong? … The whole purpose of this job is killing something strong enough for you to learn death magic like Fed. … But what if you simply can’t? … I mean what if it turns out only some one from his world can do death magic and it’s a form of energy your body can’t process?”

Locus kept driving the large vehicle and said, “She’s right, we really haven’t thought of that, what if his magic really is just a unique gift of blood like your magical horn.” Twilight nodded her head “that’s a good question, but remember when Boche and Fed were fighting at each other?” she leaned forward laying her head on her hooves “boche was injured by the elite troopers that had the same magic as Fed himself, if what he told us early is true … that the fed troopers are beings that he turned into troopers thru some kind of machine; then it must be universal, if they can given it, I can figure it out.”

Ware was doing something to his body and pulled a wire out of his leg and placed it in his arm. “Twilight does not have to master Death magic as Fed has. Or reach a level of skill. She must simply gain a greater understanding of its processes to create a method of defeating it. Perhaps if you can enchant an object that can negate death magic all together we can create amour that would makes us immune to Fed’s spells.” Lipida who was sitting on the floor, in a way that reminded Twilight of Wynona turned to Ware and “that’s actually a really good idea, I didn’t even think about it like that.” Twilight frowned and sighed “but first things first we find this monster and subdue it.” Everyone nodded their heads and things were silent as they headed towards the sight.

Soon Locus called out “yup, might not be the monster bug man told us about … but it will due.” Twilight looked out the front window and saw what looked like the ruins they encountered earlier … but half freshly destroyed. Loci turned to Ware “think you can trace it?” everyone got out of the vehicle (as the ruins were too tight for it) and looked to Ware. “Activating sensors,” he said. Twilight looked at his visor and watched for the small change in color that occurred as he switched vision modes. She only saw a few when he said, “Got something. Organic pheromone p 238-9 detected, movement ahead 3 grid units … not far.” He then pulled out his assault rifles and everyone readied their weapons. Twilight checked the bolt on her sniper rifle and took a deep breath “o.k. Lets take a look at the ruins and se if we can ambush this thing, remember it could be anything.” Twilight slid into the ruins and lifted a crumbled piece of rock making a path for her larger friends. Ware lead them along a path that cut straight thru the broken crumbled buildings it wasn’t long till they began seeing corpses and bit of gore stained about the place. Locus kneeled down and inspected one of the more intact cadavers “hmm, this is definitely one of the organized raiders, … whatever this thing up ahead is it doesn’t have trouble with large groups.” Everyone nervously looked ahead as a loud BANG was heard followed by several far off gunshots. Lipida put some of herself on twilight and calmly said “sweetie why don’t you let me take the lead.” She pushed herself forward and twilight followed holding her rifle above her head with a spell. They followed along the destroyed buildings and blood till they came to a large bright clearing Ware stopped and announced “subject is within the perimeter of this outing. Detection accurate within .5 grid units. … Sorry” Lipida rubbed his metal arm and softly said, “Better than running thru the entire dimension”
Twilight was shocked clearly these were the ruins of a civilization, a smart one too. What hey just crawled thru was now clearly a perimeter wall and now they were inside what used to be a city! Her mind raced with hypothesis (did they get stuck here and build this? Was the entire city sucked thru?) Suddenly from a distance they saw a building crumble! Twilight made the notion for everyone to huddle. Once inside she whispered “o.k. stay quite were going to circle this thing and hit it from all sides at once. Ware can you hook from the left so that you can fire at whatever this thing is from the south?” Ware replied, “Tactical maneuver understood, will remain .3 grid units from target till your mark.” Twilight smiled and turned to Locus “o.k. So you and Lipida and go with him till he hooks off and we can have something to strike him from the left. Lipida.” She said turning to her blob like friend “don’t engage this thing till I make the call, right now for all we now it can hurt even you.” Lipida responded “ you will make a good mom someday, always cautious when you need to be.”
Galvana quickly interrupted “hey wait so I attack right? Twilight shook her head “no, I want you as my spotter on that roof with me.” She pointed out a tall nearby building and finished “from where that rubble is I think we can pin it against the ruin walls.” Lipida spoke out “Twilight, you sure about this?” Twilight shook her head “I’m not, … which is why we stay in radio contact and wait till I make the call.” Everyone nodded. They were unsure, but they trusted twilight.

With a nod of her head everyone moved out. Twilight handed Galvana the binoculars and said “can you help me to that roof?” Galvana looked at the roof and walked over. Twilight climbed onto her and crawled to the roof. She laid her sniper down and used her magic to float the Galavana to the top. Getting comfortable on the ground the two girls scanned the area. It did not take long before another old building collapsed. Twilight quickly snapped in looking for the monster. She saw lots of dust and rubble. A dead raider that looked almost as if it were a cow with a human hand for a face, but nothing strong enough to break buildings. “HEY I think I got it” with that the scope on twilights rifle communicated with the binocular and pointed here where to look. “Were almost their twilight,” said Locus over the radio. “Twilight looked around a corner and said “good just wait for … …. ….” “…” “…” Twilight dropped her rifle rubbed her eyes and looked back in. sure enough her eyes did not deceive her the image that was shattering her mind was true. “o.k. That’s it! Its all over!” Twilight dropped the rifle again and was about to hop off the roof when Galavana stopped her “Twilight what’s wrong?”

“hee heee, oh NO I WASN”T OH NO I WASN’T PREPARED FOR THIIIIIS!” Twilight then curled up in a ball and began sucking her hoof. Galavana lost and confused pulled out her radio and said, “Umm guys Twilight just lost it.” She looked at twilight whose poor mind had just been crippled at the Meer sight of something in the city.” Galavana went over too the Rifle and looked in. sure enough a large yellow beast appeared that defied her description. “When I was little all I ever did was read, it was like the words were my only friends .. AND NOW WORDS ARE TRYING TO KILL ME!” shouted Twilight as she jumped up and ran over to Galavana “ DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS!” Twilight pounced on her and yelled “H, A, R, D. THAT’S RIGHT LIVING LETTERS OF THE ALPHABET WITH ARMS AND LEGS … THAT KILLS THINGS. WHY DON’T I JUST A GIVEN TURKEY CANVATO HAIR TURNOVER IN A LEMON THONG!!!” THE MAD PONY JUMPED UP AND DOWN ON GALVANA HURTING HER
Galavana eventually pushed her off and pulled out the radio “guys get back here now Twilights gone mad apparently Bug man’s monster resembles symbols from her home world and … I need your help!” “On our way! Hold on sweetheart!” shouted Lipida. Galvan stood up from the roof petrified of what twilight would do next. But she was only harmlessly teleporting around the roofs. Galavana took a deep breath and shouted “TWILIGHT! Stop we need you! Just relax a minute.” Twilight teleported in her face “RELAX! No-no-no-no-no. relax is something you do when you don’t have anything to worry about! Not when you spend your whole life! Dedicating yourself to knowledge, logic. AND THEN HAVE IT SHATTERED IN A SECOND BY THE SUDDEN EXISTENCE OF WHAT APEARS TO BE A SESME STREET CHARACTER!” Twilight would of gone on but suddenly Locus jumped by and grabbed her and help her in a tight ball like she as a cat, he turned around and faced the team (now all on the roof) and said “the whole point of this was to find a creature strong enough to have twilight experiment and learn death magic on! Now she’s not learning anything. Lets not waste any resources taking this thing down and get out of here.” Everyone silently agreed but quickly turned to look in the direction of the beast. Sure enough coming at them was a large yellow beast (seemed about 8 feet tall) its body was a made up of straight lines and formed into the neat letters that looked like an h. an a, a r, and a d. The letters were the center of the beast coming out of the letters h and d were 2 very muscular arms with 7 fingered hands. And out of a ,r were two tall legs. “DEATH BY GRAMMER” cried twilight as she sobbed into Locus.

The others never seen English lettering but was still confused about how a living thing could be shaped into weird sections like that. Locus was first to jump off the roof and they all followed in tight formation. The went thru the wall to make it to the car and ran a lot faster when nearby the heard a large CRASH and nasty growls. They reached the vehicle and Galavana opened up the door. Everyone ran in, partially safe from the beast. Locus quickly extended his arms with twilight in them and said, “hold this!” and rushed over starting up the vehicle. He pulled back and hit the gas and boost trying to get out of sight of “hard” as he called it in his head. But it was too late and Ware saw the beast escaping the ruins and coming after them! “Lipida! Can you fire the mounted cannon?” Lipida crawled up to the ceiling of the vehicle and shouted, “yeah just don’t expect me to write your name with it!” she wrapped her squishy body around the mounted gun and fired at the enemy. At the same time Ware used his heavy gamma beam to shoot at “hard”.
However this seemed to have little impact on the beast made of letters. Ward called up to Lipida. “Short burst! Make sure you hit it.” And they continued to blast away ineffectively. In the seat Galavana held twilight now shaking uncontrollably. “Twilight its o.k!” the pony only mumbled something and continued to shake. “Look I know it scares you and doesn’t make sense but.” At the Twilight lifted her head and starred at Galavana with a face full of tears. “Its not that.” She tried to keep it together “it’s the fact that all that I learned my whole life doesn’t matter, when I was young I spent so much time with books and spells that it … I learned and so I became the element of magic! But it was all for nothing, my element my magic my knowledge. Because there are things like that it doesn’t matter! I see the anthromorphication of the word “hard” running around and what does it mean other than disprove all logic and natural law.” Galavana hugged Twilight to her chest “Twilight what you learned and become does matter! Because your-were not supposed to be here! Why do you think we call where we came from our homes and not just dimension or planes?” she gently stroked her soft mane a bit. ”Because its where we belong were not supposed to be here. “ suddenly twilights eyes gleamed a little bit and she gently stepped out of Galavana’s embrace “were not. No one is!” she said as she walked along the chairs and turned her head back to Galavana “it still makes no natural sense. But you’re right! We don’t belong here! Which is why once we stop fed! WE FIND A WAY HOME NOT JUST FOR US BUT FOR EVERYONE!”
Twilight opened up the steel window and fired a magic laser at “hard” but the beast seemed to ignore this two and continued to charge at them growling. Twilight stopped shooting and simply observed for a second. Till she brought her head back in the car and tapped Lipida and Ware saying “stop wasting ammo! Lets just lure it into an area with fed troopers and let them fight it out amongst themselves.” They both stopped and nodded. Twilight ran up to the driver seat and pulled out the radar ware made. She looked around on it till she recognized what was probably a Patrol of troopers. She called out to Locus take a left up here!” Locus slowed down a little and took a left around a steep mountain. “Keep going and take a right around that tree line!” they were now driving thru a field with little patches of grass but the dirt was a dark red. Locus slowly banked right to avoid the trees and the drove along the small forest. “Twilight sat back in her seat and buckled herself. “o.k. Just keeps going straight. Hopefully these two will fight each other. Locus nodded and eventually they came into view of a large patrol of troopers and mechs.

As soon as they saw them the patrol opened fire on their vehicle. Twilight saw a missile heading at them and caught it mid air, then tossed it aside. Locus ht the boost and they went right by the patrol. “Minimal damage to the amour plating.” Called out Ware. Twilight then unbuckled herself and went to the rear window of the car. Sure enough when the beast made out of letters came to the patrol it began fighting them. Then they took a corner around a rock face, and they were gone.

Twilight took a deep breath of relieve and laid own on all fours starring at the metal floor of there car. She laid down her eyes glassy full of tears, but she held them back and quickly rubbed her eyes. She stood up and said “locus, you made the right call, thank you. I shouldn’t of let my self freak out like that.” Lipida lay down on he chairs and said, “it’s not your fault Twilight.”

Twilight quickly remembered what Bug man said to her when she first arrived “death is all we have, without It our minds will break, that’s why there are so many raiders and monsters out there. Imagine millions of years with no salvation. Even then who know how frail our minds really are.”

She knew he was right, was this beginning of her becoming a raider? Either way she knew she didn’t have much more time.
