    1. Princess Celestia's horn is still glowing even though the mare with glasses is using her aura to take the papers away.

    2. Yes, saying "it has returned" automatically means you're talking about the Crystal Empire.

    3. Find Princess Cadence and Shining Armor? What, you can't keep up with the recently-coronated prince and princess?

    Should I Continue?

Hey everypony. Listen, I know I haven't made any updates recently...and that's kinda what I wanted to talk about here. Should I continue MIB: Mares in Black, move on to another story (I'm always welcome to ideas), or just stop writing and only read fanfics on here? And this goes also for my account on FanFiction. But, don't think I'm upset or anything. I'm just wondering what I should...Heck,

Everything Wrong WIth: The Crystal Empire - Part 1 · 2:02am Feb 12th, 2014

4. Twilight launches the quills with her magic at a random spot in the air, just hoping Spike is there to catch them with the bag.

5. Twilight is supposedly reading the titles of the books as they fly behind her.

6. Applejack is smiling at her friend's despair in one frame, the next she's concerned about her, and then, right before Twilight explodes in anger, thinks she's handling things pretty well.

7. You keep a giant book laying sideways behind an entire row of books?

8. Twilight says she needs to make some flash cards but then hands them to Spike for him to quiz her on them, even though there's nothing written on them yet.

9. Plus, aren't flashcards normally index cards instead of flimsy pieces of paper?

10. Twilight's magic is slower than usual as it seems to take enough time to allow Spike to get out from underneath the book, even though he's probably ten feet away at most.

11. Plus, Spike gets out from under the book and doesn't even make it move hardly at all.

12. What's with the random short red bookcase? Is that for the really important books?

13. Badly-rearranged background books.

14. So, Spike just happens to have a full-body pillow armor for situations like this?

15. The mural of Princess Cadence and Shining Armor.

16. Also, why does the mural right beside it picture the planet surrounded by clouds?

17. And why does that mural show the sun shining on the planet but the mural to the far left show the sun nowhere near it and with eyes and a mouth?

18. Luna has her mouth open like she's not comprehending what her sister says until she looks at her....and she's the one who started the current conversation in the first place.

19. The murals they are looking at change in almost every frame.

20. Celestia and Luna stand right in front of Twilight, yet Luna feels the need to go to the left in order to walk straight.

21. Why doesn't Twilight just use her magic to roll up the scroll like Celestia does?

22. Celestia gets rid of every one of Twilight's books but one.

23. Oh look, a crystal in a case that wasn't in the throne room at the beginning of the episode...I mean, did they bring it in for the occasion or has it always been there?

24. Also, the crystal is purpe in the case, then pinkish when taken out, then, after the presentation, back to purple.

25. Celestia uses her yellow beam to hit the crystal, it opens up the projection with a blue beam, and then waits a few seconds before shooting out another blue beam instead of creating the castle with the other blue beam.

26. The area running alongside the wall gains a checkered pattern as scenes change.

27. Also, it wasn't even there at the beginning of the episode.

28. Why does King Sombra go from 3D to 2D after he's thrown into the Artic North? What, is losing one of your dimensions part of banishment?

29. Celestia refers to hope and love as "those things" when she could've just said "they."

30. Celestia just so happens to know the exact spell to make the crystal spread dark magic.

31. During the "entire empire" line, Twilight has a random face spasm.

32. Instead of looking shocked when told to protect the empire, Twilight looks shocked as Celestia is telling her that she will certainly pass...Wouldn't that be encouraging instead of shocking?

33. When Twilight hears that both Cadence and Shining Armor will be at the empire, she only cares about her brother being there.

34. The door is shown opened inward in one scene but outward in the next.

35. Celestia and Luna are standing beside the throne room as she accepts the task but are seen inside the room in the next scene.

36. No Spike, she hasn't failed...because she hasn't taken the test yet! Couldn't Twilight have told him that?

37. Yes, lifting a teapot and cup is something only a true master of levitation can do.

38. Spike is eager about her failure song at the beginning, then is concerned about her, then eagerly joins her singing...Maybe he took lessons on caring from Applejack.

39. Canterlot's architecture confuses me...One moment, she's in the middle of the town, then as she overlooks the edge of the kingdom, there seems to be no way that a town could be behind her. After that, a random pond and bridge seem to be there, then once again it looks like there shouldn't be a town behind her because she's on a bridge...And then a train station..

40. Also, the railroad track stops at the background wall.

41. You'd think they be smart enough to ask Rarity for some clothes to bundle up with in the ARCTIC NORTH!! I mean, she may be a snob, but she's the Element of Generosity! Surely, she's got something that'll fit you all in one of those suitcases Spike is carrying.

42. Why the random colored strips of fabric?...Or is it ribbon?...Or paper?

43. Either way, he comes back with scarves instead....Like she really needs more scarves.

44. Shining Armor's voice is clearly heard but he is then seen removing his scarf from around his mouth. Don't think voices carry well when covered up.

45. So, Spike finally grew some balls and left most of Rarity's stuff behind. Good job, Spike. And it's even better that she didn't even notice for the rest of the entire episode!

46. The Mane Six don't even scream when a giant cloud of dark evil appears behind them out of nowhere.

47. Also, they can somehow outrun the giant cloud of evil that can surrond the entire Crystal Empire in a matter of seconds.

48. Why would you stay behind to hold him off? I mean, if you can outrun him, why not just keep going?

49. Rarity's scarves stay with her through the chase until right before they go through the shield...Then, they're never seen again.

50. Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie all climb stairs with their eyes closed.

51. Cadence barely has the energy to stay awake, yet suddenly has enough to do Twilight's childhood dance with her?

52. Also, the wrinkles on her face dissappear during the dance, but return when her horn flickers.

53. Shining Armor says his protection spell has been countered by King Sombra but he looks up at his crystalized horn as he says this. If he's saying that the reason he can't do his spell is because of his faulty horn, well,..that only happened a few minutes ago!

54. A research paper is brought up that is never even begun.

55. Rainbow Dash is the one who asks "Yeah, who doesn't like research papers?", but Pinkie Pie looks at Twilight when she answers it.

56. Why are there hearts around the windows of just one building? What's so special about that building?

57. So, you don't remember what happened during Sombra's rule but you remember that it's bad enough not to remember?

58. The door closes seemingly by itself.

59. Rainbow Dash harasses and punches a random stranger.

60. What kind of a cutie mark is an island with a palm tree? A Castaway cutie mark?

61. Two ponies have a bow and arrow cutie mark.

62. Yes, something is missing, random mare. An evil ruler shrouding the kingdom in shadow and putting you all in chains...Because that's all you should be able to remember, right?

63. Fluttershy freaks out about standing on a suit of herself but is immediately distracted by Applejack talking.

64. Applejack completely misanswers Twilight's question of "Why didn't you say so?"...She meant why didn't you say so before, Applejack!

65. Why are there statues of griffons around the empire?

66. Twilight copies Rarity's line of "There are no words!"

67. The Mane Six form a V-shape between scenes.

68. You don't know if you work here, but you stay around anyways?

69. Rainbow Dash tosses the books back very far, yet they only land about a foot away by Fluttershy.

70. Spike goes to another book even without Rarity's approval...Also, why can't he just read the titles himself?

71. Wow, Applejack's nose sure is strong to be able to flip books several feet away.

72. What language is that on the book? Is that the Equestrian language or did the artists just get lazy?

73. Shining Armor stares into space until Twilight goes into details about the Crystal Fair.

74. Speaking of the first queen, what happened to the ruler/rulers of the Empire when Sombra showed up?

75. Spike struggles with the book at first but is fine holding it as Twilight starts a new song.

76. Twilight puts the book in the middle of the huge table and opens it where nopony besides a pegasus can get to it and read it.

77. Rarity's lips don't move as she sings.

78. Crystal berries aren't crystal.

79. Neither are the ewes.

80. Yes, Twilight, I'm pretty sure anypony can learn an anthem in under a day....Probably under an hour.

81. Plus, why is she way outside of the empire?

82. Is Fluttershy just using ewes for the petting zoo?

83. The position of the Crystal Empire castle changes position between frames.

84. Spike randomly releases a set of baloons into the sky. I'm guessing it was to finish the song.

85. "I don't know how I could've done this without you." Who are you, Dora the Explorer? I mean, why don't you address your friends as "you girls" or "you all?"

86. Applejack rocks the stand violently, yet the Heart is somehow perfectly balanced with nothing keeping it in place.

87. You didn't just cut the Heart out of stone, Twilight...What, you think that Applejack will believe that the stand made out of the same material as the fake Heart came with the kingdom?

88. You'd think the Crystal Ponies would've notices the setup of the Fair without Twilight having to announce it.

89. Also, why is Twilight announcing it? Why not Shining Armor or Cadence? I mean, they are royalty.

90. "Did she say..."mutter, mutter"...Crystal Heart?"

91. Why do they have so many stands if they only have five ponies to man them?

92. Once again, Rainbow Dash harasses a random pony.

93. Crystal Corn on the Cob? Yet another thing that isn't crystal, yet still has it in the name.

94. A whole cob is dropped on the ground, yet when the ground is shown, just a few pieces of corn are there.

95. What, they're not called Crystal Funnel Cakes?

96. The flag Rainbow Dash gets to cover the Heart increases size between frames. I mean, when she grabs it, it's smaller than her, but, when she covers the Heart, it's big enough to reach the ground.

97. Now how can a book about the Crystal Fair, the annual ritual of hope and love for the Empire, not mention a single thing about there being a real Crystal Heart?

98. Also, how can Twilight, the bookworm of Ponyville that is known to re-read books several times, not notice the missing page?

99. Cadence faints in an unnecessarily dramatic way.

100. The shield fades in and out when Cadence gets weak, but, when she faints, it slowly dissolves.

101. Random crystals in the field beyond the Empire appear that weren't shown when they entered through the shield.

102. Also, a group of crystals surrounding the arch appears that wasn't there when they arrived.

103. Sombra comes from one direction, but then is shown surrouding the Empire...Has he been planning that or is he just that fast?....And wouldn't that contradict the chase scene at the beginning of the episode?
