I am hopefully what I appear to be, and I hope that I am not what I seem to be. What this consists of will only be determined by time.

    A bit about myself.

My first book was a Sesame Street book. Sherlock Hemlock was one of the characters, and he was searching for something or other. When I read that book, I was two and a half years old, and I've been 'digesting' books ever since. I count the authors J.R.R. Tolkien and military sci-fi author David Weber among my favorites.

A bit about myself. · 7:33am Feb 5th, 2014

My first major video game was Final Fantasy VII. I understand that the graphics hadn't aged well, but its plot was deep and inspiring. For the longest time, I would only invest my time into RPGs, or games with a complex and lengthy storyline, but of course, my priorities have changed with the years. It was my love of Tolkien's books that I brought into playing Pokemon Blue on the Game Boy. My traditional internet handle, "Talancir," was the name of my Blastoise. It means "container ship," if you're wondering.

When I started writing fictions in elementary school I did well enough, inspired by books such as My Teacher is an Alien, but I didn't begin to hit my creative stride until I got involved in Mage: The Ascension, a select branch in the World of Darkness RP written by White Wolf Publishing. There, I learned techniques that I could easily apply to my fictions. The biggest lesson that I took away from M:tE was that the scene itself is as important a character as the pro/antagonists that perform on the stage. You can develop a character as complex as you like, but without an environment as developed as that character, they are merely walking in void. They are a single point of clarity in an otherwise blurry and formless world.

It is this knowledge that I bring to what I write now. I hope that my writings will meet my expectations, challenge my skills, and propel me onward. It is also my hope that what I write can entertain or benefit those who read it in some way. I must admit that I have some trepidation about my success, such as it may be, but I will try to continue writing in spite of it all. Thank you for reading this.

Yours Sincerely,
Talancir D'Landior
