    About Tonight...

I don’t know what to say. I have to say something, but I honestly don’t know what. Frankly, I don’t even know what to think.

I’m deeply scared right now. Terrified, in fact, for a nation and people that, despite their faults, I truly love.

Be well, everyone, and for god’s sake, be good to each other. If you need me, I’ll be getting trashed on whatever liquor I can find in my pantry.

The Laughter Will Live On, But...

It’s been a few days, but I think I finally know how I want to talk about this. I’ve tried a couple of times to get my thoughts together on paper, but threw the results away as self-indulgent nonsense. This attempt may be too, but I think I’ve finally processed my thoughts and feelings enough to say my piece.

I won't spoil the episode for people who are waiting until Saturday to watch it, but I will say this: the 105mm Mk. II party cannon I use as my avatar is no longer the pinnacle achievement of shindig gunnery.

Maybe to you it was just a poorly-photoshopped howitzer clumsily inserted onto a random Ponyville background, but it was special to me, damn it! I thought that being able to provide indirect party support at a range of up to four miles would keep the Mk. II the canon of choice of party planners/amphibious assault forces for years to come, but...

Oh well, back to the drawing board, I suppose. Maybe I can convert one of those 16 inch Iowa-class deck guns. Does anyone know where the USS Wisconsin is moored?

Mark II Lightweight Towed Party Cannon, 105mm

Update: On second viewing, I've noticed that the new canon doesn't have a a rifled barrel, there's no way that it can beat the Mk. II in range and accuracy. I might still be in business!
