School's been kicking me hard in the butt repeatedly for this academic year's homestretch and boy, am I ever feeling it. I'm taxed, angry, sad, and just very frustrated in general towards most things.
Regarding my story updates, I really am sorry about the snail's pace at which it's been going. The words just aren't coming as frequently as they did; add to that the rather disparaging remarks of some former bronies towards the current quality of the show and the fandom at large, I'm not as inspired as I used to be.
As a little consolation though, I actually caved in and watched an S4 episode the moment it aired: "Three's a Crowd," whose song was too catchy not to make me watch the whole thing, has been very helpful for lifting my spirits. Some characterization gaffs aside (Pinkie's absent-mindedness and Dash's rather miniscule amount of loyalty when it comes to all things Discord), I found the whole thing quite engaging, both in terms of writing and animation.
Keep at it, S4. Don't let me down just yet.
