The Impact MLP has had on my life!

I know not too many people will read this, and I know that the few who chose to read this will most likely focus on the negative. However, I do not care, I am me, and I make no apology for it. My Little Pony Friendship is Magic ended today, or I should say the series ended as for me, I will always be proud to be a Brony. However, now that the series is over, many people are telling how MLP

    My Season 5 wish list.

    My season five wishlist

Here’s a few episode ideas I’d like to see in season five, feel free to comment your own or on mine.

The return of King Sombra: Sombra is my fav villain and I feel like he got too little screen time before and he’s so under appreciated by fans so I’d really like to see him get another chance to show his stuff.

Episode review: Power Ponies · 6:49am Jan 5th, 2014

We begin in Twilights library where Twilight is sleeping soundly (and wearing a very cute night cap) until she is woken up by Spike (hmmm usually it’s the other way around) who’s reading a comic book by flashlight. Spike tells Twilight about his comic book “Power Ponies” and tells her of the hero’s worst enemy, The Mane-aic a super villain who’s mane can bend to her will and has a similar background to the Joker (whom she is based off of)…

Twilight humors her scaly friend as he describes an object the Mane-iac needs to power up her doomsday device and the Power Ponies comic relief side kick Hum Drum. While Twilight is happy Spike is showing so much interest in a book but states they both need their sleep as they will be meeting with the rest of the gang to restore Celestia and Luna’s old castle. Spike agrees to go to bed but starts to reach for his comic which does not escape Twilight’s notice however after the sad eyes…

Twilight grants spike two more minutes.

The next day while the mane six restore the castle Spike offers to help but the gang politely declines, Twilight suggests that Spike find a quiet place to read his comic, Spike is reluctant but does so. While reading his comic Spike begins to sympathize with Hum Drum feeling he’s just in the gangs way like Hum Drum is with the Power ponies. However Spike soon find the rest of his comic blank! Upon further inspection Spike finds a note… "You can return to the place you started when the Mane-iac is... defeated Take a closer look to join the adventure in this book" Suddenly a magic vortex opens and sned Spijke and the rest of the gang into the comic book where they’re subjected to some changes, Spike has become Hum Drum and the rest of the gang have become the Power Ponies!

Masked Matter-Horn (Twilight): Can generate a variety of energy beams from her horn, such as energy blasts and freeze rays.
Fili-Second (Pinkie Pie): The "fastest pony in all of Maretropolis"; can run a distance of miles in mere seconds.
Zapp (Rainbow Dash): Can control the forces of nature through her lightning bolt necklace.
Radiance (Rarity): Can create energy constructs with her jewelry.
Mistress Mare-velous (Applejack): Has a lasso that she can psychically control, and also makes use of restraining horseshoes called "hoofarangs".
Saddle Rager (Fluttershy): Can turn into a hulking monster with tremendous strength when she gets angry.
Hum Drum (Spike): The Power Ponies' "bumbling sidekick" who only serves as comic relief; has no superpowers.

The gang is surpised by the sudden change and the sudden appearance of the Mane-iac! The gang try to stop the Mane-iac from stealing the power for her doomsday device but can’t quite grip on their new powers (Fluttershy is reluctant to use hers) and the Mane-iac is more amused than threatened. The Mane-iac gets away to her evil lair and the ponies follow (led by Spike). The gang have a street fight with the Mane-iac and her henchman (or henchponies) most of the gang have learned how to use their new powers (though Fluttershy is still reluctant to use her own). However the Mane-iac stops them dead in their tracks by freezing them with “the hair spray ray of doom” however the Mane-iac spares Hum Drum (Spike) believing he can’t stop her. Spike sneaks into the Mane-iac’s lair where her henchponies spray the gang every time the spray starts to wear off. Meanwhile the Mane-iac is finishing up her weapon…

Her plan is to use the Hair Dryer Cannon to amplify her mane’s power a million times and cause every mane in the city to grow wild like hers! Mane-iac points her cannon at the gang but Fluttershy reminds her of Spike, the Mane-iac states that the Power Ponies only keep Hum Drum around because they feel sorry for him while Twilight counters “Maybe in your world. But in our world, Spike— uh, Hum Drum always comes through when we need him! Always!” The Mane-iac continues her evil rant (like all villains do) and with the henchponies distracted Spike manages to capture them and allow the Power Ponies to regain movement. The gang fight off the reaming henchponies but Fluttershy attempts to leave since noting is making her mad. However at that moment Mane-iac swats a fly in her direction…

“Oh, goodness! Are you okay? [to the Mane-iac] Are you kidding me? I mean, I know you're evil and everything, but [getting frustrated] you hurt a teensy, little, harmless firefly?! Really?! Well you're just a great, big, meanie! [voice getting deeper] There! I said it! What makes you think you're so special?! Like the rules of common courtesy don't apply to you?! [voice getting even deeper] Why don't you pick on somepony your own size?! [roars]”

Fluttershy destroys the machine but not before the ray is bound back on the Mane-iac causing her mane to encase her like a strait jacket. With the Mane-iac defeated the portal home opens and the gang find themselves back in the old castle. The gang shakes off the excitement of their latest adventure Spike and Twilight recites what the moral…

“Twilight Sparkle: We wouldn't have made it without you, Spike. And I hope you realize that just because we don't always need your help, it doesn't mean that we don't think you're helpful.
Spike: And that you don't have to have superpowers to be a super friend.”

The gang agrees but Twilight asks spike where he got that comic. Spike awnsers that he got it in Canterlot at the House of Enchanted Comics….

Spike defends that he didn’t know that they were literally enchanted he just thought that they had really enchanted storylines. The episode ends with the comic book disappearing.

Review: I’m not a big super hero guy and when I heard they were doing another super hero episode I was upset (though I like Mysterious Mare do well). However the episode was good, had some references without being a total rip off, and was a very good Spike episode. Over all B-.
