Happy (late) New Year! (+ next fic insight)

Yeah, I know I'm three days late for this, the reason being I had other stuff in my, and having too many things I can do in my free time, I end up not knowing what to choose. Whenever that happens, I always end up sitting back in my chair and listen to music with no purpose in mind whatsoever.

Nevertheless, hope everyone has had great holidays. While most of you (I hope) partied, I pretty much lazed about these past two weeks, doing whatever first came to mind, no matter what that may have been (most of the time I'd just open one of my consoles and play a game cuz why not? >.< ). Yet, tonight I realized that, as entertaining as video games are, I haven't done anything very productive, so I decided that from tomorrow I'd save more of my free time one one thing I really came to love: writing the next installment of my first fanfic.

Remember when I mentioned that my next story would have four chapters? Well, chances are that was a lie, since, to be honest, as I think it over, it might end up being longer than that. Not that it's a bad thing, mind you. Although I first wanted it to be shorter and simpler than the first one, I end up realizing that it wouldn't do for many reasons, mainly because it'd feel incomplete at places, and I've very much became fond of the characters I built, and I want to give them the best setting I can manage to make the story worth my time as well as yours.

I don't really have much done on the fic yet, but the synopsis is done however. I'm not one for spoiling things, but I'll leave it here for you guys so you can have an insight of what is coming:

The Badlands, which lie at the border of Equestria, have always been considered a hostile territory. When a squad of Royal Guards are sent past the border to patrol the area for safety measures, one of them discovers a strange and unique specimen, weak and famished by all means. Out of good willingness, he goes against the protocol and discreetly brings the creature back home to nurse it back to health.

As the days in the strange pony’s company pass, Thunderbolt will get to know what lies underneath its ‘monstrous’ look and find that there’s more than meet the eye. And in the process, an unexpected strong bond will bear between them.

Also, the fic is gonna have Romance and Tragedy as its main tags, just so you'd want to know what kind of stuff to expect.
