small dilemma · 3:08am Jan 2nd, 2014
I have a slight problem. It has been brought to my attention that my writing isn't the best. I knew this but this is the first time someone has actually given me something to use. If I may quote him (or her) I "tried to jam too many ideas in too quickly and it shows. Try spreading things out a little more next time" I'd like to thank Cyrano again for giving me constructive criticism that isn't a flame. I'm still really new at this so any constructive criticism is awesome. But here comes the problem. The best way to learn how to pace my stories would be to read well written stories and see how those are done, but I have creative overload and I have to write something. One of the motto's I have when it comes to reading and writing is that I refuse to write anything for at least a week after reading someone else's work to avoid plagiarism. The last thing I want to do is piss someone off because a story I wrote has similar dialogue or plot mechanics to a story I recently read. So I want to write better by reading other writings but I don't want to piss people off. I think I'll write stuff and not post it until after the stuff I read is no longer fresh. Whatever happens, I probably won't publish anything for a few weeks. Seacrest Out!
