I'm back!

I am pleased to announce that I have returned to the land of Fimfiction after a long (since July!) hiatus. The reason for this lengthy break was due to the other activity which consumes my soul, marching band. I play the saxophone in the Centerville Jazz Band, Centerville's strangely-named marching band. For the past five months, we had been working almost constantly on our competition show, Route 66. For those who don't know, there is a set of events called the BOA (Bands Of America) competitions. Bands perform their shows and receive a rating based on their performance, on a scale of 0 to 100. Scoring is complicated, to say the least, so I won't try to explain it. These competitions finally culminate with the Bands Of America Grand National Championships, held in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. This year, we placed 22nd out of about 90 bands, with a score of 85.3. If you want to see our show, here's the video:
