Wherein I list a bunch of the assorted ideas I come up with and may eventually write. Or someone else can if they want to, I'm not greedy. I have more than enough things to write as it is.
1. A unicorn's specialty is an Invisibility spell. Unfortunately, as it represents her specialty magic, her cutie mark is invisible and everypony thinks she's a blank flank.
2. A mysterious force "takes" ponies, removing even other's memory of them (think the Cracks In Time from Doctor Who series 6, but a malevolent force instead of a temporal anomaly),
3. During the temporary absence of all three Princesses of Equestria (Cadance doesn't count anymore, she runs the Crystal Empire), the power of government falls back onto the Equestrian Parliament. Unfortunately, nobody outside Canterlot even remembers that's a thing, and even most ponies in Canterlot don't care, save the handful of elderly unicorns who comprise the parliament. And their ideas about laws aren't always in line with those of the populace, or reality in general.
4. The Olden Pony is more than just a filly's nightmare, but an ancient entity that Luna has been unable to drive out of the Dreaming for centuries.
5. (based on something RealityCheck posted) Alternate to "Keep Calm and Flutter On". Pinkie is the one tasked with reforming Discord. Things end... poorly.
6. (dark comedy inspired by a poorly-handled death in a fic) A death in a family is processed by the labyrinth bureaucracy that ensures Equestria remains a smoothly-operating utopia. In the vein of satirical dystopias like Brazil or The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
7. (sadfic also inspired by the above story) Derpy Hooves dies in an accident while on the job, but somehow the "informing her daughter" part of the process gets overlooked.
8. A few years after Pinkie reunites them, Mulia passes away and Cranky is spending the holidays alone again. Pinkie knows this needs to be put right, but is less certain how to go about doing that.
9. Pinkie Pie and Twilight do a "Freaky Friday" body swap. Twilight realizes fixing this will be difficult when Pinkie has her magic.
10. Brick from Borderlands winds up in Equestria. Hell if I know what I'll do with him there, but seriously. Brick as a HiE. And maybe Mordecai, too.
