"It's not fair!" The scream rang through the halls, "You said, you said that, that, Aaahh" The young drake screamed, "Why? Haven't they done enough? Haven't they seen enough? Isn't it enough for you?" He was sobbing now. "Why?" He sobbed, "Why?!" The cry shook the very stone of the room.
Celestia turned to the tiny drake, her eyes puffy, "Do you think I wanted this?" She screamed back, "Do you really think that I would do something like this to them?"
"Then why?" He shouted back, then, much quieter, "Why?"
"Sometimes," Celestia tried to regain her composure, "Sometimes these things just happen. We can't stop them, we can't change them." The white coated alicorn faced away. "Sometimes the only thing we can do is provide a shoulder to cry on."
Tears fell from the dragons eyes, "Then why are you telling me?" But he already knew. She was a coward.
"They need someone who knows what they're going through. They need a friend." She didn't look at him. "I'm sorry." And then she left, trudging through the door and into the hallway as a heart wrenching wail sounded behind her.
is this going to be part of a story? i would love to read it if it is.^_^
