You know what the hardest part of co-authoring a Story?
Getting 2 different visions to make 1 cohesive story.

Even when two writers agree with the direction of a story, the issue is often to make everything consistent.

As some people who following Lt Bubbles Seven Ponies Seven Loves, I am coauthoring Part 2.
And trying to not make your self a Mary Sue, Gary Stu on in Fim Fic's case a Pony sue is challenging, but thankfully Lt Bubbles depiction of my is about right on.
It takes alot of self reflection and willingness to admit your flaws to the world to do a Self insert with out making crap.
