What is Hate?

One morning a boy walked up to his mother and asked her a question
“Mother, what is hate?”

This caught the mother off guard, but she looked at her son and cautiously said
“Well… it’s something that tears people apart.”

This response puzzled the boy, and he was silent for a moment, but then he replied
“So, it’s like a monster?”

The mother looked at her son sadly, and said
“Yes… it’s like a monster.”
