Cutie Mark: I Nead to Vent

Twilight's talent is magic: she is a librarian.
Rainbow Dash's talent is flying: she is a weather pony.
Pinkie's talent is parties: she is a baker.
Celestia's talent is moving the sun: she is a ruler.
Shining armor's talent is (i think) barrier magic: he is the captain of the guard.
Ones Cute Mark dose not dictate ones job; only ones talent.

Celestia's Power: I Need to Vent · 12:54am Nov 11th, 2013

To all bronies debating Celestia's power,

All the hard and clear facts we know about Celestia's power are that she can control the day/night cycle (according to the narrative), did not directly get involved with most major crises (that we know of), did not beat Chrysalis in one fight (for whatever reason), but did beat Discord and Sombra with Luna and the Elements (according to Celestia), and beat Nightmare Moon with the Elements (according to Twilight's book.) That is about the limit of what is clearly known. That alone leaves room for debate without getting into what we don't know at all or can partially guess.

So, to some degree, this whole debate is largely pointless. We can speculate on motives. We can correlate based on events. We can make reasonable and unreasonable assumptions. And we can analyze the imagery and stori all we want. In the end, this was meant as a show for children that adults would enjoy. I don't think the creators and animators were trying to make an artistic and nutritive masterpiece that would be lauded for ages. They wanted to make a good show. And I know that the animators did not manage every single frame to perfection. There are blooper reals that run for hours to prove it. Finally, the narrative, as good as it is, was influenced by too many hands from too many levels to be perfectly constant. I am sure you know of, or can find, an inconstancy or two.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was not meant to be examined at this level of detail. So make whatever guesses or deductions you want. Argue all you like. And disagree if you wish. I'll be busy enjoying the beautiful fan art, reading good stories, and enjoying the show.

From,
