Hey, guys, guess what? I met that boy Celestia was talking about! His name is John and he lives about 15 min. from my house. I met him at the park and we started talking about The Legend of Zelda. I didn't know he was a brony until I accidentally said "everypony" in front of everyone at the park...
Anyway, he actually hadn't even heard the term "Brony" before, so I enlightened him. It was so awesome, I showed him all the cool remixes!
So... about using magic... I've tried several times today and it just doesn't seem possible. Twilight always said that magic came from the inside (like how she explained in that first episode with Zecora). It didn't take much teaching before I could lift a few objects and little spells like that. But even though Twilight says magic comes from the heart, ponies like Applejack and such can't use magic, so maybe I can't use it while in my human form at all? But I'll keep trying because it sure would be nice to have some spell to communicate with them.

Concerning magic, if I understand you right, you searched within yourself to be able to use magic as you started to use magic?
Could you tell me what was your first lesson from Twilight, how did she get started with you lesson. Please try to remember her every word it could give us a clue. Currently I am reading a few articles and a book concerning magic, but as far as I can say this things all go in the direction of meditation and passiv effects like using runes and affection the environment indirectly. So not really what we are searching.
Concerning the use of magic by other ponies that are not unicorns, my theory on that one is that all ponies are using magic even if it not as explicit noticeable like when unicorns levitate objects. For example, by the laws of aerodynamic it should be absolutly impossible for pegasi to fly, that is because there wings are just to small to generate enough uplift to carry there bodies. The same with earth ponies, we have seen what they can do, for example as Big Macintosh pulled a complete house behind himself without help, he may seem strong but that is just not possible. The explanation is, that they are using there inner arcane energy to manipulate there bodies intuitive without even knowing it. Earth ponies with there strenght and connection to the earth, pegasi are able to affect the body weight, the air stream around them (sonic rainboom) and water molecules so they are able to stand on clouds and form them as they wish.
What I am getting at, they all are using magic, if they know it or not, I cannot say. I think the ponies came never up with the idea to reseach such things. I am sure every pony would be able to use magic in a defined and wished way if the would research it. I think unicorns have it just easier because there horns are used like a condenser that accumulate the arcane enery, forming it in the wished spell and finnaly setting it free. I think with enough training and time would every living being be able to use magic, for some would it be easier and others would have to work harder but it could be trained.
