What is this place... (you know the rest)

FiMFiction... it's... just..

I've been reading some stories (mostly TaviScratch, but I do read other things - don't let anypony tell you otherwise!) on here for the past week and I was finally motivated to try my hand (hoof/horn/mouth, if we want to stay in pony) at writing my own fanfics. I've been a writer way back since the start of high school, but I've fallen pretty far from it as of late, and, as with my drawing, I've found that MLP FiM was just the thing to bring me out of my slump!

Currently, I have no set schedule for writing, and pretty much plan to do it when inspiration comes to me. I've only got one pony related fic going at the moment, my TaviScratch story - Scratches Across the Record - but I may eventually do more. As of now, I've got good vibes coming from this story, and I really want to make it some bigger than just your run-of-the-mill shipfic (not that I don't enjoy those from time to time - Celestia knows I needed some after finishing Allegrezza, to tide me over), so I'm not too eager to get started on anything else, but who knows what the future will hold.

Anywaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaays, in the incredibly brief time I've been here and put up the first chapter of SAtR (I wanted to make an acronym for "Scratches Across the Record" asap), I've already received a pleasantly surprising hoofful (see, I can keep in pony!) of comments, thumbs up, and favourites on my first story. While they might not seem like much, or very many at that, I was very happy to see them and can only hope I continue to see more positive feedback from this lovely community.
