The same, but different.

Mostly posting this out of boredom, since it really doesn't do much, but I figured rather than going through and changing my bio, I'd try posting here. Anyway, due to a recent epiphany, I will not be writing any fanfics for a while. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing; I'm just working on original stuff (only short stories, for now) so that I can start on the road of getting some real experience and working out the kinks in my grammar and story telling. All of this is in the hopes of eventually working on a trilogy I have planned, so it might not be the healthiest thing for that very, very distant goal to get used to working on characters that belong to someone else.

While I can't honestly claim to be qualified for something like that- unlike at least a handful of others on this site- , IMO that should never stop one from doing their best to improve where they can. Yes, chances are I'll fall on my face, but I'll be able to say I did all I could to avoid that fall. I still have a while to go, between that and the Ph.D I hope to achieve eventually, but we don't have forever in life. Not to mention I want to go ahead and see just how bad I am...

Now that poor example of a pep talk to myself is over, I'll go ahead and mention I'm not arrogant enough to be trying to write an epic, stirring, going away speech, as I'm not sure even one person has looked at this page. I'm still going to be doing the exact same thing I have been; commenting, though I've started getting more involved- for better or for worse- , messaging, and helping where I can. I just find writing my thoughts down helps me get motivated, and- due to previously mentioned epiphany- life's at a rather high point for me at this point. Now back to commenting, and getting paranoid about whether I talk to much. Have a nice day, me/anyone who happens upon this, and see y'all in the comments.
