Firing a random Headcanon - 1: Berry Punch, Pinchy, Minuette, Filthy Rich, Diamond Tiara

Berry Punch is Diamond Tiara's mother, Pinchy is DT's half-sister, and Berry and Filthy Rich are divorced. When they first got married Berry's drinking was only social and Rich was happy with his business and his wife. After Diamond Tiara was born, however, Rich chose to work harder for his family to give them everything they wanted and that he wanted for them. With Rich at work more and DT being taken care of, Berry spent her free time partying with friends in a spiral to alcoholism.

A year after DT is born, Berry is the town drunk and Rich, in order to save his family's image and the Barnyard Bargains name, divorces her and wins full custody of DT because it was clear to all that Berry Punch was an unfit mother. Realizing that his being away from the family so much was a large part of what led Berry to become an alcoholic, he resolves to spend more time with Diamond, even though he now has a heavier workload because Barnyard Bargains is doing even better due to the past year's harder work. That's why Rich looks tired all the time in the show: between DT and work, he's strung thin. But he tries. He also now pours all his love into Diamond Tiara, spoiling her because he wants her to be happy without a mother. That's why DT is a brat. They go the rest of the time pre-show to now as normal.

Berry, meanwhile, was taken in by her friend Minuette (Colgate, Romana, that toothpaste pony, whatever), who is helping her get over her alcoholism. Though she still slips from time to time (Like at DT's Cutecenera) she gets herself back to a more sober lifestyle. However, now that she can't drown her problems in alcohol, she is distraught over the loss of her daughter and husband, but he won't take her back, so she again turns to Minuette for help. All Berry wants is a family and she's desperate. She convinces Minuette, who knows how much better Berry is, to magically get her pregnant (Because unicorns. I don't ship them (or do I? (You'll never know (Maybe "never" is too strong a word)))) And Berry Pinch is born. They both still live with Minuette though, because Berry doesn't make enough to support Pinchy on her own. Pinchy is roughly two years younger than DT, which is why she doesn't have her cutie mark by Diamond's Cutecenera.

Both DT and Pinchy have pink coloring from their mother, but Pinchy's mane is styled in a combination of both her "parents'" mane. The top is rounded like her birth mother Berry Punch, but pointed at the end and in the tail like her magical mother Minuette. She calls them Mommy and Mama respectively. Diamond doesn't know Berry Punch is her mother, but Rich invited her to their daughter's cutecenera as a way of semi-forgiving her, and letting her see Diamond.
