So, I watched the season finale... · 10:16pm Apr 21st, 2012
Not gonna cry....not...gonna...cry....
T'was awesome!
Also, this. Do any of you happen to know Slywit? If you do it was his birthday a few days ago, and in celebration I and a VA I know put this together for him! Go over and wish him a happy birthday! (And while you're at it read Paradise, because it is awesome)
It T'was very awesome.
Aye, agreed.
I actually had two beefs with it, but they were minor.
1) The Cadence/[SHH! SPOILERS] song just wasn't as good as earlier songs in the series.
2) The way [SHH! SPOILERS] was defeated felt like a lapse back to the sort of stuff that Lauren wanted to avoid when she first got started.
Otherwise... This made me think about the rift between myself and my older sister (also wedding related), and how much I wish it could be undone. Ah, well. Overall, it was an excellent episode, and the big battle scene between the Mane Six and [SHH! SPOILERS] was fun, awesome, and occasionally hilarious. (Pinkie Pie using Twilight as a turret, anyone?)

Being defeated by the Elements of Harmony wouldn't have been any better to be honest.
Still, great finale and I can't wait to the next season starts.
Only gripe I had, was how Celestia got taken down. I really can't take the whole "Shining's love for Candence is what fuels Chrysalis' power" thing, since he was pretty much brainwashed. And not to mention how derped he looked in that state. . . no offense
And where were you Luna? Just dropping in and "Oh hey, what's up."
But it was very awesome.

True. I just feel that "love conquers all" was kind of a weak moral compared to "friendship is hard sometimes but worth fighting for" from Return of Harmony.

OTOH, near the beginning it was established that Luna was keeping watch all night every night. Poor dear slept through the apocalypse.
