Season 2 Finale Reaction · 12:25pm Apr 22nd, 2012
I have just finished watching 'A Canterlot Wedding' and I thought that I should tell you guys what I thought about it.
Considering that I am supposed to be revising for my exams, my parents were a bit against me watching the season finale. But my amazing skills of persuasion managed to convince them that I should. Basically, I said, "That's not fair!" Then, "It's the finale! The next one's in July!" So, they let me watch it.
But anyway, I was extremely pleased with it, and I am so happy that I was allowed to watch it. Usually, I get really excited about something, then get a bit disapppointed with the actual result - the Doctor Who series 6 finale, and the Christmas special weren't as great as they could have been, and the same goes for the last 3 Harry Potter films. But it was exactly how I expected - actually, better!
I loved 'Big Brother Best Friend Forever'. It was a wonderful song, and the reprise almost made me cry (granted, a lot of things make me cry, so that's not a big deal).
The end of the first episode did make me gasp very loud, which then made my parents give me a weird look (the same look the gave me 3 other times).
I was extremely happy to hear Lyra and Colgate speak, and happy to see Doctor Whooves and Vinyl Scratch once again, but especially Vinyl Scratch. I had heard rumours about Vinyl's appearance in the episode, and also rumours about an appearance of Trixie, but no Trixie...or I didn't notice her, anyway.
I did like the whole 'the power of love saves all' - it reminded me of Dumbledore, and that just made me happy. Usually, 'the power of love' can be quite cheesy, and I think it could have been borderlining cheesy, but it was still good.
If there's anything you guys liked about it that I didn't mention, just put it in a comment. I loved every moment of both episodes, and the only thing I didn't like about it was the fact that the next one will be in July.
3 months. I don't want to wait that long...
