Today, we all lost something. · 5:33pm Oct 14th, 2013
Finally got around to watching Gurren Lagann about a week ago, just got to episode 8.
The date is October Fourteenth, 2013.
That day, we lost something that could never be replaced.

One of the few deaths in a series that I truly felt to be that sad, meaningful, and absolutely inseparable from the story told. It was an honorable death.

Real men never die, even if they are killed. So he isn't dead, just gone for a while. Nevertheless, he went out like a true man. I think the only other time I ever felt such loss is when the 10th Doctor died.

Then I shall await his return!
The end of the 10th Doctor was another heart-wrenching scene. The 11th is great, don't get me wrong, but I don't think any could top David Tennant for me.
1422347 Number 9 was actually my favorite. Tennant is a close second though. Christopher Eccleston was just such a badass.
Personally, I dont like smith because he's too silly. The other doctors were all "I'm in control of the situation even though I have no f***ing clue what I'm doing!" And they could be serious when the situation calls for it to add a kind of gravity to the situation no one else could.
Smith was just, "Oh lets do this! Now lets do that! Come on, I have an audience to impress with my Doctor-y-ness!"

He did bring a ton of badassery as the 9th, and for the first Doctor of the new series, they couldn't have done better.
I will say, I hated Smith when he first showed up. It took me a long time to like him, but while he is a bit over-quirky, and doesn't really explore the Doctor as deeply as the 9th or 10th, I've tried to focus on him as his own version. Between his better moments and the mystery vibes I've gotten from the plots he's been put in, I've grown more fond of him. I still like Rory more, though
