How about a little update on my life? · 4:59am Oct 9th, 2013
Yes, it is completely inexcusable how long its been since my last story, and I'm going to at least give you a little insight to the things going on in my life right now! Perhaps a little bit of SOMETHING written down will appease some people? Eh? Eh? Oh, I tried...
So, first of all is school. On top of my music classes and gen eds, I am in 3 concert bands, a steel band, an acappella group, and the marching band. That's a hefty load! It's a labor of love, so I don't mind too much, but it really does not allow much time for recreational activity (like writing fanfiction). In addition to this, I must maintain my regular trombone practice so as not to disappoint my professor (one does not want to disappoint the principal trombone for Chicago Lyric Opera...). So yes, school is the biggest eater of my time! BUT THAT'S NOT ALL FOLKS!!!
Second up on the platter is that I am joining a fraternity. This semester I am attempting to join Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, men's music fraternity of America. This is a big step for me emotionally and practically, and I couldn't be more excited. That being said, there is a bit of a time commitment with learning all the things I need to learn and performing new member tasks, so there's some more time eaten from my schedule. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!
I am also preparing for my audition for Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps. If you are unfamiliar with what drum corps is... for the love of all things holy please Google it. You will not be disappointed. I've wanted to march with Phantom since I was an eighth grader, and now that it is my ageout year, it's time I finally did. So, I'm working my butt off trying to get in both good playing shape and good physical shape for my drum corps audition at the end of November!
AND!!! Pokemon X and Y come out this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can I write fanfiction when there's Pokemon to be played?! *awaits thrown tomatoes*
So I just wanted to say that I am still committed to this fandom and to fanfiction. My schedule is hell right now, but I'm doing what I love, so despite my tired eyes, aching muscles, and stress-induced headaches, I am actually very happy. The constant reminder that ponies will always be here also helps. My love for the fandom has never died, and will most likely never die (I mean, it's been pretty steadfast for about three years now). I will be back, and hopefully stronger than ever! Next semester will be much easier!
Thanks for reading!
It's fine baby, we still love you. The bigger the welts we leave the more we care. Also, I'll kill you if you tell them I left those welts on you.
*Cocks back arm, prepared to fling tomato... opts to drop the tomato and fling large watermelon instead*
Best of luck with getting into your desired... associations. And then, once the next semester starts, I had better see a continuation of Distance or I'll be a very sad person.
