Well, it's finally happened. After about ten years of repetitive arguing, my parents are more than likely filing for a divorce, if my father hasn't already done so. Though, if anything, I'm surprised it's probably going to happen in a few days since he blows up like a time bomb whenever the taxes come in or my mother "lies" to him. Why now, I'll never understand, but what I do know is that I

Why now, I'll never understand, but what I do know is that I could hear a lot of banging from their bedroom because of him closing drawers and among other things (Obviously indicating that he is packing up). He said he is going to my grandparents' house for a while, but with that man, I'm not sure if he means "a while" or "forever". Either way, I am relieved that the fighting is on hiatus but quite frightened about the concept of divorce. Anyways, it's uncertain right now whether or not that's what's going to happen.

Other than major bump in the road, I am (somewhat) happy to tell you that I am going to continue to write my old story Gems, Recognition, and A Lot of Explosives. I will now show all of you a small excerpt that I had started today. It isn't much, but, then again, I did start it a few minutes before the brutal argument between my parents.

As Rarity left the office and the course stallion behind her, she maneuvered her way through the modernized and twisted hallways that she came in from until she finally arrived at a section of the factory that shifted from its narrow structure to a room that seemed to be a rest station for the passerby that happened to be lost or tired at the time.

The room, like the hallways, had a white coat of paint applied to its walls and its floorboard to give it a somewhat ghastly look.

Again, I'm sorry if you were expecting a bit more, but I thought that, since I was feeling a bit down, I could at least see some people excited for the renewal of the story. That would cheer me up a lot, and probably yourselves as well. Anyways, I think what I'm going to do is write this chapter down, get someone to proofread it and edit it, then publish it to show that I am alive. Afterwards, I will write down as many chapters as I can before a month is up, and when it is, I will post the next chapter. Hopefully, this process will allow me to publish one chapter at a time while writing/finishing up writing two or three more. Once all of the chapters are done being written, I will change the update day from a month to about a week.

So, if I can't be happy right now, I could at least help some people smile.

~Tempered Steel

(P.S. I am having a week-long vacation a week after the following one, so my writing will right exponentially during that time. Before or during then, the chapter should be published for the viewing audience.)

That sucks, Temp. Hit me up if you want to talk to someone.

Also, it's great that you're writing more!

I'm really sorry to hear about that dude! If you want to talk, just let me know.

On the plus side, I'm looking forward to the next chapter of Gems, Recognition, and A Lot of Explosives. :pinkiehappy:

I remember seeing my parents fight when I was little. The details are a bit sketchy but I was about eight when they started fighting and it all went downhill from there. Just know that I am here if you would like to talk to someone who went through a similar experience.

Sorry to hear about your folks likely getting a divorce, Tempered. Believe me, I know just what you're going through right now. My mom and dad fought a lot about stuff when I was younger, too (although it was mainly just with words, and no blows were exchanged), and they wound up getting a divorce when I was still in my teens, as well. Weirdly enough, though, they wound up being better friends after they got the danged thing! But, at least they weren't fighting anymore...something my two younger sisters and I appreciated a lot.

On the second note, I'm really looking forward to the next upcoming chapter of Gems, Recognition, and A Lot of Explosives. It'll be interesting to see how AJ and her crew get themselves out of the (considerable) mess that they were in when I read the fic last.:twilightoops:
