4 Stars Out of Five Isn't Bad · 3:32pm Oct 3rd, 2013
So I was going through all the places where my book is currently selling, and I found another review from a customer. This one was titled, "Fresh take on fantasy!"
As much as I appreciated and loved the four stars that this reviewer gave me, I was more impressed and satisfied that aspects of the book were not only imparted to the reader correctly, but that this reviewer understood everything I was hoping to convey about the main character. He got it, and then got it some more.
I was floating on cloud nine and a half, right up there with Rainbow Dash lounging away.
When a reader wants to physically punch their Kindle because the main character gets them so worked up, then by the end of it, realizes that there was more to the character, it really feels like the biggest sort of accomplishment. Don't get me wrong, I will gladly take any and all four star reviews till the end of time; but more than anything, that ability to touch a reader, and emotionally stir them in some form or other, is the sort of thing that I will remember long after the newness of the four stars has faded.
It is for these readers, that I truly write.
I burn shit.
I'll be sure to leave a review on Amazon when i finish it. Just waiting for it to finally ship!!! The anger billows as it suffocates my patience.
I actually burned my blu-rays of the new Evangelion movies. Set those bastards on fire in the back yard to prove to my fellow anime fans that I am willing to actually put my money where my mouth is.

Out of curiosity... when did you place the order?
I placed an order for the MLP season 1 set, and got it like almost a week late. That was last year, but yeah.
1393297 Around two weeks ago. This is something that's usual with Amazon. Ordered an art book...got it four months later. In the end, I regretted buying it. Long anticipation meet with disappointment. Hopefully, I would get it after I finish Motherless Brooklyn and The Simarillion.
1393283 I don't know if that comment was a reply to me, but either way, I solute your commitment! I can't tell you how picky I am on my anime. Is it so hard to ask for a solid story line with characterization that doesn't include a beach episode? Yes it is! Because anime logic: Anime + Chicks - Storyline = Boobs. Okay, I'm complaining about see anime boobies, though it may be visually appealing but not mentally compelling. As in Bleach and Naruto, why is it -while in a fight- that they have a conversation elongating over several episodes and time to have inner monologues and not get stabbed or killed? Like the old joke goes.
How many Dragonball Z characters does it take to screw in a light bulb?
One, but takes 24 episodes.
Any anime you recommend? I'm tired of the constant cute n' kiddy anime that floods the genre. I know that it's a contradiction on my interest in the My little pony fandom. At least MLP doesn't have me constantly beating my head against a brick wall trying to get to the other side.

In all honesty, I haven't kept up with this year's newer anime shows. I really should, because my blog is suffering badly. The last few that I watched that were upper tier level entertainment, were
"Sword Art Online, "
"Steins Gate,"
"King of Thorn(Movie),"
"Fairy Tail,"
"Dusk Maiden of Amnesia" (I highly recommend it),
"Black Lagoon - Roberta's Blood Trail,"
"GOSICK,"
and "Magi the Labyrinth of Magic."
To my knowledge, these aren't riddled with the stereotypical moefests, and pointless panty shots that infest the more popular anime shows. Granted there are going to be some elements, but they wont be what the show is centered around.
If those don't do it for it for you; I can probably find a title or two more to recommend. At my last count a year ago, I had 266 completed series' and over 900 DVDs/BDs.

Damn, that is a library! An Anime Archive. I used to be completely infatuated with the genre, now, I have a love/hate relationship with it. I love the art style of anime and manga, even when I converted my art style to American comics. Thanks for the list.
