Crap.
I just finished an entire day off work without getting anything significant written.
I've done a bit, but not even half the length of one of my tiny little chapters.
One of my commenters has pointed out that Rarity's actions in the latter part of chapter three are a bit off. That she would want to get her friends together and do whatever they can to help Twilight in her time of need immediately.
Two reasons for this: In story reason is that at this point in the story it's maybe 4:30-5:00 AM. The sun has yet to rise, and everypony is still sound asleep. There is little harm in delaying the inevitable meeting a couple of hours. Two reasons for this delaying the inevitable: One, so Spike can get a little bit of rest. He's had a traumatic couple of hours. Second, so Rarity can compose herself enough to be able to even face her friends.
Out of story reason is that I've got no freakin' idea how to write that particular scene. The story is rapidly approaching the point I've been dreading, in which all of the characters are brought together to face this unspeakable news. Plus I kept getting stuck writing the Rarity/Spike scene and I wanted to just get it finished in a way that at least made some small amount of sense.
Working from 11AM to 7PM tomorrow, hopefully after I get home I can churn out another couple thousand words.
As usual, thank you to all my readers and commentors. Your feedback is absolutely essential to the successful completion of this little project of mine.
