Arguing With Siri, Technology Is Great (Pony Tech) · 2:52pm Aug 23rd, 2013
Hello, this is PONYBUG24, I am trying out a new kind of blog today, I am calling Pony Tech. Is there anypony out there who has any version of the iPhone, and they use Siri? Well, on Facebook, my aunt, who lives in Houston now, and happens to use a lot of Apple products. She said that, if you asked Siri who her favorite Baseball team was right now, she would say, that she always roots for the underdog, and right now, that team is the Houston Astros, which is my Mother's hometown team. This lead me to admonish Siri to the heavens, because most of my mom's family still lives in Texas, and are scattered around the state, just like desert tumbleweeds. One of the most brilliant things that Siri said that night, was a quote from the great android HAL, from 2001, A Space Oddesy. One of these days, maybe for my dad's 60th birthday, I am going to find a copy of those movies on DVD, and give it to him, along with the original books by Arthur C. Clarke. Of course, you can't talk about sports in Houston, without talking about the Texans, their NFL team. Siri and I had a rousing discussion about the Texans, and their roster, and their schedule for this season. Apparently, they have a good one this year. After that, everything went downhill from there. It seems that I never got rid of my childhood lisp, so half of the time, Siri has a hard time understanding me. I sometimes just get frustrated with Siri, and I tell her to just deal with it. Technology can be so fickle sometimes, its like one minute, they can be your best friend, getting you the information that you need, and the next, you are arguing with it. Its enough to drive some people who use these programs crazy. So if you have any ideas for a topic for future installments of this blog series, please feel free to send me a comment, or a private message. Especially, if the topic is something that is NSFW, because I do have followers that are under the age of 18. As always thank you for your kindness and support, I really appreciate it!
