Apologies plus News

Yeah.... I've been gone from the writing scene for quite some time and I'd like to apologize. I'm just going to be honest and tell you that the reason for the hiatus was because I got discouraged. Rest assured no one has written anything negative to me or anything. I discouraged myself in actuality.

I was always trying to improve my writing when making this story. But as a fan of fan fiction I also read other stories a lot. Even though ideas could potentially overwhelm me I held firm until I noticed something.

Dialogue.

I'm terrible at it.

Like really, really bad at it.

When I got through reading some of the stories I was fond of, I looked back to my story and was shocked at what I saw. These stories had dialogue and character interactions far exceeding my story's level. Normally, this would be obvious to anyone whom ever tried something for the first time. But as a person who likes to at the very least be decent at something before attempting it, this was a harsh slap to the face. So, I tried to do what I could to learn, fix, and emulate the level of dialogue that these stories produced.

But I couldn't.

And that's what got me so discouraged.

I tried asking for tips from other authors and while they helped some, I'm still having difficulty executing them properly. I didn't and still don't have an editor or someone to guide me while I properly learn dialogue.

But yeah that's what happened.

Now that I explained myself, I just wanted to let you know that I didn't abandon my story and don't plan to. In fact I have a chapter that is 60-70% done and should probably be up by Saturday or Sunday. I would like to thank you for your time (should you actually read this) and wish you all a great day.
