Egad! 300+ views! I'm pleased as pink punch that so many people seem to be enjoying the story! ...Especially after the events of the last two days! My venerable old computer gave up the silicon ghost on Weds. The hard drive gave out and the local shops did not have a replacement I didn't want to sell a kidney for. It looked like the Hermes was going into a death-spiral since I don't have the finances available to replace the machine.
Then a Very Special Lady Friend of mine stepped in! To my eternal gratitude... after I vented my spleen regarding the misbegotten progeny of the demon Bill Gates...(Is my old age showing?) she graciously offered me the use of her old laptop for the duration of the crisis without batting a lovely eye!
Friendship IS Magic, my Little Ponies! It's a real-world phenomena... and a refreshing change of pace from the what the sensationalist Media would have us believe! (Where DID that soapbox come from?) This Trek to the Stars continues!

and FYI, I'v gone through three, and have yet to replace mine...and it's not because of an exploding hard-drive. more like exploding modems. used to live in a lightning strike prone area, and there's only so much a surge protector can do when the show up every three DAYS.
