...As if I am expected to write an acceptable biography about myself with only a mere 200 characters? Don't be ridiculous!

    By the way...

My motherboard was replaced months ago.

—NOT THAT ANY OF YOU ACTUALLY CARE LOL

On another note, I might be inspired to post more MLP-related science-y stuff here eventually... if you guys could give me ideas of what you want me to post?

    Motherf*cking Motherboard

This message brought you to from a slow as a glacier ancient as the Rockies laptop.

...Yeah, my computer's motherboard is fried. Hopefully I'll be back up and running in a week or two at most.

    Science!

Scientifically-tested evidence that canon Ponies should have a mass comparable to humans, not real ponies.

I kinda sorta collaborated with him on this. I didn't do any of the experimentation, but I did a good chunk of the math involved at the end, posted in the comments... :twilightsheepish:

    Sombra's Plot Hole

Okay, so I realized something that in retrospect is a huge plot hole.

So, Sombra was originally defeated by Celestia and Luna using the Elements of Harmony, right (unless I'm wrong about that)? Second time around, he was defeated by the Mane Six and company using the Crystal Heart.

Sombra's Plot Hole · 5:10am Jul 19th, 2013

Okay, so I realized something that in retrospect is a huge plot hole.

So, Sombra was originally defeated by Celestia and Luna using the Elements of Harmony, right (unless I'm wrong about that)? Second time around, he was defeated by the Mane Six and company using the Crystal Heart.

────Even though the Mane Six can themselves use the Elements of Harmony, have done so at least twice before, and have no reason not to use them in this case.
Even if I'm wrong about Celestia and Luna using the Elements of Harmony against Sombra, that doesn't stop the Mane Six from using the Elements against Sombra.

Seriously, the Crystal Heart was completely unnecessary for defeating Sombra. With the Elements of Harmony, they shouldn't have had any problems whatsoever dealing with the retarded crystal gas cloud.

.........That's just stupid, Hasbro.

The title made me think that this would be something else...

I guess you did that on purpose, though LOL.

Naughty boy.

Do you have any actual thoughts about the plot hole itself?

1.) From the 'flashback' it doesn't appear Celestia and Luna used the Elements.

2.) It was supposed to be a test for Twilight. Thus no Elements.

3.) They would've needed to find the Crystal Heart sooner or later anyway, so two birds with one stone.

1.) My bad. Doesn't change the fact that they could should have used them.

2.) But that's incredibly stupid.
"Oh hey Twilight this is just a test so you can't use the Elements of Harmony. I mean, it's not like innocent ponies' lives are being threatened by a supervillain or anything..." :unsuresweetie:

3.) But even that doesn't explain why they couldn't just defeat Sombra FIRST and THEN look for the Heart. I mean, it's not like Sombra being undefeated at the time was a requisite for the Heart's activation.

You gotta admit: still a huge plot hole.

2.) Don't ask me to explain why Celestia chose to make that part of the test. I concur, it was stupid to the extreme. Of course, there is the possibility that the Elements don't work on Sombra, hence why Celestia and Luna didn't use them the first time around and why they weren't used now. Or more likely, they didn't want to kill Sombra. I mean, we never saw Nightmare Moon nor Discord throwing around the sheer amount of Dark Magic Sombra was throwing around, maybe it had become so much a part of his being, that if the Elements cleansed him, he'd die. That he ended up dying anyway was just a semi-unfortunate turn of events.

This can all be solved with a little bit of alcohol... See? Now everyone is happy :D

Love from Arty!

The short version of what you said is "bad writing is bad". CASE CLOSED.

1220586
Yes, I would rather forget that Sombra ever existed, since he was a huge retarded gas cloud with a vocabulary of six words.

We also learned that MLP should not try and copy Lord of the Rings. (Sombra was supposed to be a Sauron type villain.) =_=

1221280
...That makes me kind of mad.
Sauron was menacing and intimidating as hell. He was also an effective villain despite being an immaterial entity.
Sombra was a joke and a retard. He was pretty ineffective as a villain.

Nitpick: I count eight; "yes", "crystal(s)", "heart", "my", "slaves", "what", "no" and "stop".
