Hah so I was looking through some old notes of mine and I found an old fic prompt that I always thought would work well
However, I don't have the time for it.
Here's a summation, for anyone interested.
It's an indeterminable amount of years in the future. Several hundred or thousand, at least.
Princess Twilight Sparkle and Princess Mi Amore Cadenza are both royalty, living in Canterlot. The Dusk Heiress and the Dawn Heiress, respectively, heirs for Luna and Celestia, again respectively. (A joke is made at some point that this decision was based primarily on color schemes)
Spike still lives with Twilight. He's much bigger now, about the size to just barely fit into that library at the beginning of Mare In The Moon Part 1. Which he often does.
Shining Armor, granted immortality upon being wed to Cadence, also lives in Canterlot, with his wife.
Basically, Team Purple and Team Pink (Shining doesn't like that it's Team Pink but he sadly accepts it) have a prank war of epic proportions on one another, spread out over several chapters. Celestia and Luna take bets.
There would also be some plot about about how they are learning the various ins and outs of Equestrian government.
As the story progressed, there would also be some... SAD. Right in the middle of a comedy! That's how I roll. Basically, the two heiresses try to cope with their responsibility and losing their loved ones to the ravages of time. Cadence often hugs her husband for long hours, crying and grateful, about which Shining then talks with Spike.
Twilight herself often spends her long hours being held by Spike, (literally held, he is very big) just being quiet and looking sad. Spike talks this over with Shining, and the two help each other help their ladies and help each other help themselves.
Also, I think a SpikexTwilight romantic subplot would evolve naturally in that situation.
So, a hilarious comedy that devolves slowly and then all at once into a drama. Huzzah.
Please excuse my ramblings.
That seems like Equestrias Crazies future-style. Sounds funny though.
