Equestria Girls... finally saw it.

As the title says I finally decided to watch the movie (had to download a crappy hidden camera version since it isn't showing where I live (Mexico), and wouldn't even dare to watch it dubbed to spanish.
It was way better than expected, the new models for the humanized versions of the ponies worked just fine, they didn't focus on the Twilight X Light Sentry (AKA Brad) ship and didn't even gave him that much importance except for one scene, some not quite so hidden easter eggs made me laugh.

They never truly explained why was Twilight and her friends brought to the Crystal Empire except for the fact that it was needed for plot device, maybe we will learn more about that in the next season.

Sunset Shimmer was...... well a bit of a disapointment, her design looked awesome and she could have done a lot more but she ended up being one of the classic type bullies from the school type movies, taking advantage of the unadapted and stepping on others to reach their nefarious goals.

It was alright for a movie targeted for little girls and toy making, but I was expecting a bit more out of the movie, maybe I set the bar a little to high.

Would I watch the movie again? maybe as part of a marathon but I wouldn't watch it on it's own at least in any near future.

Should you watch it? yeah, give it a try. It's really not that bad but it isn't the best thing in the world either.

Also on a side note I found the lack of Lyra disturbing
