Coming Soon: Chapter 6! ...kind of.

Hi, everyone. If you've been waiting patiently for more of End of the Crusades, then I've got some news for you.

First off, I understand how painfully slow my writing has been these last few chapters. Chapter 5 took 4 months to the day to finish. To put that in perspective, I had almost started and finished an entire college semester before I eventually uploaded it. 4 months to the day to write a 5,000 word chapter. When I first started writing pony fiction, I hammered out a 5,000 word story in about a week.

But enough about my dying writing efficiency. The real reason for this blog is for info about the upcoming chapter, and I'll give it to you guys straight: it's gonna come out a little differently than normal.

Instead of being a normal 5,000-6,000 word chapter, I'll be splitting chapter 6 into two parts. The first part is close to being finished, and shall be posted sometime this week. My aim is to have part 2 of chapter done within a month of part 1.

I have a few reasons for this. First, it means you all will have stuff to read sooner. It's already been two months since the last chapter, and I really don't want to take any longer to finish it. Second, this chapter is gonna be a bit of a doozy, so splitting it will help keep the pacing from going too fast. Lastly... actually, I think that covers it.

Like I said, part 1 only needs some tweaking here and there, and it'll be ready to go. Expect it at Friday at the very latest, but I doubt it will take that long. As for part 2, it'll get here when it gets here. Hopefully, that means it's done before too late. I still want to get a good head start on chapter 7 before too long. In fact, I kinda already did. It's got about 300 words written, but hey, I got a lot of time to make up.

I'm off for now, but rest assured I'll be hard at work on the chapter this week. That is, if I can pry myself away from the Wii-U long enough. That Miiverse is addictive.

EDIT: Wow, apparently the one year anniversary of End of the Crusades was four days ago. Have I really been working on this fic for over a year? Oh well, the story's half-finished, so maybe I'll have it done by this time next year. Hopefully sooner than that...
