    TIme

God, it's been a very very long time since I've been on this site. I haven't posted anything in almost a year if that. I've still been writing every now and again. But nothing to continue on or anything...good I guess is the word I'd use. I'd like to get back to writing, but I've been so busy with life and the military. I know my writing has probably gone to shit, not that it was the

    Orphan worries

Okay everyone, I'm done with the last part of Orphan. But, I have some worries. I'm afraid that the last part won't be up to everyone's expectations, or whatever. I want to play this ending out right so I don't get people to criticize me on this and this. I personally don't want everyone giving me their opinion on how it should have ended. Everything I do is specific, and has a direct point

    Writer's Re-Look

My story Writers was one of the first FanFics I posted on FIM. For a while I had it cancelled, and I was just looking at my current stories and stuff like that. And well... I don't want to give up on the damn thing. SOOOOO I'm gonna look it over and re-write or re-look at what I have. I don't plan to change too much about the story. But what I'm thinking is either tying it into my others

Reality

I made the title distinctive, for everyone so they know what I want to talk about. You also should have seen what it was titled when you clicked to come here. Reality, most try to avoid it because reality sucks. Well at least that’s what people tell me. I find it funny how people wish they were somewhere else instead of being in their everyday life. At their boring day to day job. Doing the same thing over and over again and again. It’s rather depressing if you really think about it. People hate reality, they really do, especially if things are not going the way someone would like them to go. Well, I’m going to tell you right now. Reality is a huge sack of shit. Do you want to know why? Of course you do, but first let me explain what Reality is.
Reality is life you see in a normal day, or at least what the stereotype for normal is. Normality doesn’t actually exist, but let’s pretend it does for a little bit. Normal people go about their days doing the same thing day in and day out. People do some things to keep their life interesting. Go out to eat, go see a movie, go on vacation. But here is the thing, reality doesn’t actually exist in the way we normally think. There’s that word normal again. What is normal? It is a stupid word that actually has no clear definition. If you try and define normal you will not get what we think normal is to the average person. To the exact point, no average person is normal. Everyone is different and a freak (as my friends and I like to call ourselves.)
Basically reality isn't what everyone think it is. It’s a true aspect of what is really there. What is actually there? There are things out there that we don’t know or understand. If you caught what I said earlier, (True aspect.) Why would I bring that up? The word I am trying to get you to see isn’t aspect, it is in fact true I want to show you. Like normal, true doesn’t actually exist either. Because what is truth, is it actually true? In short, no true and truth doesn’t actually mean jack shit. If you ask someone about the truth of something, they cannot give you the actual truth about it. Truth itself is as you see something to be true. For something to be true it would have to be absent of everything. The truth of the matter is, for something to be true it has to be untouched by everything.
Do you see what I’m trying to say? I’m trying to get you to think. There is nothing wrong with thinking right? It gives us something to do and opens our minds. The biggest goal I am trying to do is to get you to think about reality itself. Because what does reality actually mean? It is a world we see in normal day, the thing with reality is that reality itself is a thin line that can be played with. I’m talking about your mind. Your actual mind is what holds you to reality. The reason for that is because that is what you were taught when you were born. The world around you is as another person sees it right. That isn’t actually right.
If I see someone in front of me and another person doesn’t see that person. Does the person actually exist? See what I’m talking about is a paradigm. I see this person, but the person next to me doesn't. Now it’s up to you to say if the person is real or not. But what if I said that the person I can see goes and talks to someone else. The other person who cannot see the other person see another talking to someone else. Now what if I said the person who cannot see that person can't be seen by another person but can be seen by another. Now where is reality here? What exactly does that mean to you? Would you see the person I can see? It’s really up to you honestly. Our mind is even a mystery to us, that we don’t know its full potential. It is actually said that the things you see around you doesn’t actually exist, that it’s your mind making reality for you. That means the person sitting next to you isn’t actually sitting next to you.
Breaking the walls is fun, right? Our imagination is so vast than we can ever really know. Breaking away from the stereotypes of the day to day is how you can live a little more free in reality. We are taught to be proper citizens. To think like everyone else. Well I’ll tell you right now, that is a load of bull shit and you should kick yourself in the ass for even thinking like that. No one can ever, and I mean ever think like someone else. That is a load of bull to the shit. Now I’ve gotten a little off topic and little dirty mouthed, and I apologize for that. But this is a huge topic to even talk about, not to mention think about.
I want to tell you a little story, you might have one similar, and you might not. I went through school, like everyone else. I was taught the same exact things as everyone else. But all I wanted to do was write stories, and draw. My teachers didn’t like that, only because I wasn’t paying attention. I’m sorry, but the subject didn’t interest me. I wanted to do things that interested me. I wanted to learn things that I would be good at, that I would use in my life time. But that’s how it always is, that one question that everyone asks. Are we going to use this in real life? Yes, actually you use quite a lot you learn in school in real life. Sadly it is true, you will use the stupid crap that you think isn’t useful. Trust me, it really is useful. You won't even realize you are doing it too, thats how useful that shit is.
But schools are also in the wrong. They mostly focused on teaching us the stupid crap we don’t care about, they kind of forget we are all different. I got poor grades in school, I barley even graduated. But I got my diploma, it was one of the greatest moments in my life. The reason being is because I pushed through the stuff I didn’t like so I could get it. What does this have to do with reality? Everything people, reality has to do with everything around you. Your outlook on life can be changed so easily. From something stupid too, like a negative thing someone said or something positive. It doesn’t always have to be negative. It can go both ways, your day can get better so easily that we miss it every time.
Optimism is what I’m talking about. Funny because many people say I’m not optimistic. Actually that is quite wrong, focusing on the negative and saying, “It can only get worse.” Changes my outlook on something because that’s how my mind works. If something is bad and it can get worse, which is motivation for me to make things better. Power of the mind people, which is what I’m trying to get across here. Reality is what’s in your head, it’s as easy as it sound. But just because you said it is so easy, might not always be the case. We are all trained like everyone else. Sadly we are not taught to think more widely than we do. I find it rather stupid really.
Next time someone irritates you, or you’re just in a bad mood. Try to remember, “It can always get worse.” If that doesn’t motivate you to get things changing, than you need to start thinking in a different aspect. It doesn’t even actually need to be that exact sentence. You can add one if you want. If it doesn’t help, add “If I let it get worse.” That puts the actual job on you personally. It’s up to you to change your aspect on the day. Reality really is a funny thing, and I hope you see what I’m trying to make you see.
But what is reality exactly? To be optimistic it’s whatever you want it to be. The world is big, and you have the power to make anything happen. You just have to let it and make it happen. Nothing will ever just drop into your lap. You have to work for what you want, that is the only thing you cannot control about reality. But you can make it easier on you. Changing your paradigm can be a great relief for everyone. Once you let your mind open up to newer things, you become more tolerant of the world around you. Soon you will see that everything around doesn’t seem as bad as it really is.
We all need to open up our imagination. The thing about our society is that we hardly actually use our creativity. It is said not everyone can be an artist or be a writer. Actually this is dead wrong, every single person can be an artist and a writer. Granted some are better than others, but everyone can do it. Reason being is because we are taught to write for businesses or letters. They don’t teach creative writing when you’re a kid. That is the most important part of growing up. Being a kid is where we learn everything to function in the world. But the thing everyone always leaves out is the creativity. Reasoning is because as soon as kids get older they don’t play as much as they did. I think that’s the most important part of childhood, is to play and have fun. To explore your mind.
Honestly, I would love to see a grown man playing on a jungle gym, just because he was having fun. That shows he has a vivid imagination and that he is more in tune with his imagination. It’s hard to explain, mostly because most would think the guy was crazy or mentally ill. Stereotypes is what the biggest problem I see. They are utterly stupid, in actual fact there is no such thing as normal. I said that before, normality doesn’t actually exist in humans. If you don’t know why, just go back and read again. If you still don’t get it, you might want to open your mind more and then read it again.
I’ve actually explained a lot more than you might think. Nothing is just black and white, and nothing is just as you see it. There are countless perspectives on everything around you. That is why I love art. It brings the creativity out of people. No one can help it, art triggers your imagination and makes you see everything around you different than another person. A piece of art may mean something completely opposite to two different people. Same with writing, your mind takes over and creates the world you are reading. You are making reality when you do this. You are creating a world inside of your mind.
The ultimate goal is to get you to open your mind. Because when you do so, you will see a lot more than you could ever imagine. You have to change your perspective on the things that seem strange at first. All things are connected, kind of like string theory. Everyone can do great things. We already have done great things, but that’s in the past, now it’s our turn to change this world. To make it a better place for everyone. Because we are all the same yet different in so many amazing ways. We just have to let it happen and make it happen. Reality is much wider than you may think. I just want you to think of one good memory, and hold that with you all day. I bet you anything, that if you hold that memory in your mind, your day will already be better off.
Please just give that one thing a try. Think about something all day, don't go overboard where you forget to do you job or something. But keep it in the back of your mind. I promise you it will work and if it didn't then you were not thinking about that one thing. Or a certain subject arised and isn't counter acted by this trick. Our minds can only hold so much. Day to day life can get overwhelming, stay productive and have a better outlook on everything. I promise you that this shit works. Just open your mind and see whats hiding back there. Dig into yourself and let your mind and imagination flow, make a world of your own. Take charge of your life and take it for a joy ride, because life is short.

Wow:pinkiegasp: That was awesome and well said. I also grew up and went through school with little to no creative freedom. And you know what, it sucked. But it would be much later on that I would learn that had my teachers allowed some creative outlet, I would have done way better in class. I was just trying to get by throughout most of my school life. In my Jr. year of high school, they actually had a video game design class. It was because of that class I managed to do well in all my other classes. It was a fun time for me. But the greatest was towards the end of senior year and in my language class, my teacher told me to write a story. It had to be a complete fantasy story but it also had to meet a ton of requirements. Pretty much it was fill in the blank and add libbing. But I ended up not doing any of those requirements at all. You know why? Because I was have the time of my life writing this story. I had the longest story out of all the class and I spent the most time on it. In the end I got a D on it. While my teacher hated it, my classmates loved it. It was around that time I realized that I wanted to write stories as well as become a videogame designer. But what struck me most was that I used to hate writing. The reason why was because I was always writing what the teacher told me to write. That was no fun. But when I finally got just a bit of freedom, I went all out and had a blast. It is sad that so many schools want to get rid of creative programs. I think if they do that, grades will suffer and the teachers will be left scratching their heads at what happened. All I can say is that you are right, reality sucks. But when I write, reality becomes easier to handle.:rainbowdetermined2:

1160684 Exactly, and that's all I want anyone to really know. Is to understand who they are and about the things that make life easier. I'm glade you enjoyed this, it's actually a paper I had to write for collage. Got an A on it because the teacher let us do what we want, and he was a very broad thinker. Like you I want to write stories and make video games. But I also want to teach.
