New Doctor Hooves Story Idea · 2:39am Jun 20th, 2013
I had a lot of fun writing "Raggedy Doctor Hooves" that a new idea popped into my mind. Sort of how "Raggedy Doctor Hooves" was a re-imagining of "The Eleventh Hour," may I present an excerpt of my latest idea, Working title: "By Any Other Name":
"Who are you? What's going on? What were those... things?" The pale yellow mare said, her voice growing frantic as she followed the strange stallion towards the exit of the warehouse, her raspberry mane swaying about wildly in front of her face.
"It was plastic. Living plastic creatures, and for some reason they've been manufactured into the shape of cheap plastic flowers. Doesn't really matter though because I have a way to cut their connection to the relay that's controlling them." The stallion waved about a stick of dynamite excitedly. " So, I'm going to go and blow them up, and I might well die in the process, but don't worry about me. No, you go home. Go on. Go and munch a nice daffodil sandwich." He pushed her through the exit door. "Don't tell anyone about this, because they'll likely be killed."
And with that he slammed the door.
And then opened it again. "I'm the Doctor by the way, what's your name?"
"Rose." The mare answered rather dumbstruck by the whole exchange.
"Nice to meet you, Rose. Run for your life!"
That's right, I want to adapt a Ninth Doctor story, namely "Rose"! It would be roughly the same length as my other Doctor Hooves story, but I'll probably write it as a single one-shot as opposed to a story with short chapters. So don't hold your breath, but it is another idea in the hopper.
YES! I had a fanboy moment and squealed out-loud when i read "run for your life" in Christopher Eccleston's voice.
9th is best Doctor!
What design will you be using for the Ninth Doctor? The more common interpretation is this but I'm curious to see your interpretation. There really isn't enough of this around.
