We may not be able to do much, but at least we can try.
Oh, yeah, you may have to copy/paste the links into your browser's address bar, as they don't seem to work in my blog here.
EDIT: About that lats bit, concerning copy/pasting the links, never mind. I found out how to fix 'em.

Figures, the second I get addicted to Tumblr, it gets bought by the worst people on the Internet. (Next to Google)
Yeah, I hear ya. That's also why, sadly, although I was deciding to finally get myself a Tumblr account, I decided to hold off on that til I see for sure how this all plays out. Which probably won't be anything good, I'm sure, given these haybrain's track-record for ruining popular websites after buying them from their original creators/owners.
Honestly, I kinda/sorta actually used to like Yahoo back in the day. That is, until they bought Geocities, and shut down the free version, saying that if website creators wanted to keep their sites going, they'd have to use Geocities Plus, the version that you have to pay for. Needless to say, hundreds of Geocities sites, including a bunch of my especial faves went bye-bye, which infuriated me, as well as said website creators, to no end.
And don't even get me started on Yahoo Groups, another of my once-favorite places to hang out! They're all (well, mostly) infested by spambots these days. Which has caused me to set my settings for the vast majority of them to either monthly or weekly digests, rather than daily e-mail alerts.
And people wonder just why I've called it "Yahell" for years............
I really wouldn't worry about it. I mean, they bought tumblr over a month ago and the only thing they did was improve the User Interface a bit.
1154700Geez, has it been that long?! I hadn't noticed...........
Oh, really? Well, that's cool. Looks like I may be getting myself a Tumblr account sooner or later (well, once I get my comp/scanner/internet crap lined out, that is). As long as Yahoo's buying it hasn't totally ruined it, that is.
And when you say "improve the User Interface a bit", do you mean they made it easier to use? 'Cause that sounds really good to me, as I have absolutely no idea how to get around Tumblr..

Well, they move the like and reblog buttons to the bottom of posts. They used to be on the top, so if you were reading a long post, you would have to scroll all the way up to the top to like it or reblog it (unless your using keyboard shortcuts).
Not a big change, and it just makes more sense this way. Though I'd be lying if I said there wasn't several occasions where I scrolled all the way to the top of a post to reblog it, only to have to scroll back down again. Old habits die hard.
You should make an account, even if only to follow some other people. It's easy to use, there are lots of great blogs out there, and it's much easier to have all your favorite blogs come to your dashboard than having to open them all individually.

Ah, I see. And that actually does make sense. Thank you for explaining it to me. Heh. I can be a bit thick sometimes.
Really? I could make one, even if I don't have anything to put on it yet? (Well, I kinda do; I just don't have any way to put any of it online as yet. My comp's still on the fritz, and my Kodak All-in-One Scanner/Printer is still sittin' in storage about a 4 hour drive south of here.)
And that would be nice. I have several fave artists (atryl) and writers (hahatimeforponies) who have Tumblrs that I'd like to follow. So I more than likely will do that in a day or two.
And again, thank you for all this info. I appreciate it more than you know.
