“Hey Michael, hey Michael, hey Michael, listen, listen.”
“What is it, brain -- I am busy here.”
“Never mind that. Listen, I have a great Idea for a new story. You see....”
“NO.”
“No? What do you mean, 'no'? Listen, I have great idea, you see what you do is...”
“NO, brain. I have told you before, no new stories. I already have four different uncompleted pony stories, as well as five different uncompleted scifi/fantsy stories. I do not have time to start anything else until I have finished these.”
“But this will be brilliant. You see, it is based off a comment on one of your previous stories and it is sooo good.”
“I said no, brain. I am going to finish some of my current stories first.”
“Really?”
“Yes, really.”
“Really?”
“Yes, really. I am going to finish this last part for 'The Celestia Gambit', and then chapter two for 'Everdream', and then maybe post that story about Celestia and the interval years. I mean, honesty brain -- I started chapter two of Everdream nearly a year ago!”
“Well, we shall see about that.”
“No we shall not! Brain, we are going to concentrate on our current projects and not start anything new.”
“You mean you are not going to start on this really brilliant idea. What you do is you take the idea in 'The Academy Record' with Snowflake and Lightning Dust and you...”
“No, no, no--”
“--and then you take the idea you had for that other one--”
“La la la, I am not listening, la la la.”
“--and you start it with the idea you had, with the pony and the minotaur in the dungeon before you move on--”
“No. Brain, I am not going to do it... anyway you do not start like that, you start with the description like a voice over. And then you go into the story.”
“Ah, so you are interested.”
*sigh* “Okay, you win. I am going to write it -- but only one story, okay?”
“Okay, so like you said, we start with a description...”
