If you enjoy writing that style of story then I say write it. There's going to be people that hate it but there's also going to be an equal number that like. Don't let haters influence how or what you write.
Comrade, take the time to write the styles you enjoy writing. If you think it was just a one-time thing and you shouldn't write for it again, then focus on your current style.
