Background Ponies

I love writing, and I really want to write a story about one of the background ponies.

Just one problem with that.

The thing is, there are only a few things that define each background pony. Lyra likes humans, Octavia plays cello. But what the freakin' crap are they like??? I have no idea how Lyra would react to Bonbon revealing herself to be a changeling. I have absolutely no clue if Octavia would be friends with Luna. These background ponies are pretty much cardboard characters with a few traits that set them apart from each other.

I probably should have guessed that from 'background ponies'.

Current status: frustrated.
