Sorry for the delay, everypony! · 4:52am May 5th, 2013
There's been some serious stuff weighing on my mind the past couple of days, and I haven't had the inspiration to write. I know that, while my writing may not be high quality, I feel that there is a certain quality to it. I would hate to see this damaged based on stuff going on in my personal life, and I feel like crap not having updated you guys, knowing how many people are eager to see the progression in this story.
I've been at home this weekend, and I've been stressing majorly over grades. I won't bore you with details, but suffice it to say I will not be returning to the same college next year. I never do good work when I'm stressed, and I don't want anything I post on here to suffer because of that. I care about you guys too much.
Another thing that has really gotten to me is something that happened earlier today. I was talking to my parents (who don't know that I'm a brony) about my friend who got me into ponies in the first place, when my mom revealed to me that she had no idea what a brony was. When I told her, her response was something akin to, "Hmm a bunch of adult guys sitting in the basement watching MLP...sounds like a bunch of pedophiles to me," to which my dad heartily agreed, and added that it sounded, "at the very least like a bunch of gay guys."
Now don't get me wrong. I have nothing against homosexuals personally. I am a christian, but I do not persecute people for their personal beliefs, and I actually have a couple of very good friends that are gay. My parents, however, are not quite as tactful. Gay is basically a slur in my household.
So my parents pretty much called me, their own son, a gay pedophile. I have to tell you, guys, I'm a little shaken. I knew they wouldn't be very open to the idea, but i had no idea they would be this violently against it. I'm certainly not going to be leaving the fandom, because MLP is basically what is saving me from what i can assume is my depression. I am literally useless unless I picture something that makes me feel the need to wake up in the morning, and here lately, that has been ponies. Feel free to call me pathetic if you wish.
Now why, you may be asking yourself, am I telling you all of this? It's because I feel bad for leaving you guys hanging. All of these people that have posted about how eager they are to read the next part of the story have really motivated me and kept me writing, but right now, I just don't have that motivation. I think that once exams are over and this whole issue with my parents blows over, I'll be able to start posting relatively regularly. I just didn't want to force something out that I knew was gonna be crap (no pun intended) just so you guys would have something to read. So take this as my sincerest apology to everyone who cares enough about my work to follow or favorite what I do.
As always, thank you guys so much for the support, and I hope to have a new chapter up maybe tomorrow night. We'll see how things go in the inspiration department, and if I feel like I've written something worthy enough for you guys, I'll send it your way.

Well I hope that my speed does not come at a cost of quality. My number one concern has always been to produce the best content I possibly can for everypony.
I can identify where you're at. I went through full blown depression, causing me to take a break from school, and this show and site helped me get through it. Plus I have a similar family so I hide that i like the show beings 21 yr old guy, and hiding the recent discovery/ self-acceptance of being bisexual. So take the time you need, I haven't updatedin three months unfortunatly
