Well, my first blog post. I guess the first thing is simply to say thanks to anyone out there who has decided to follow me. I know that my writing is definitely lacking at times, but I still enjoy it. Considering that I only really started writing for fun just this year I think I've been doing pretty good. My story has been going along pretty well, I've got more likes than dislikes on it at least. I've got a few other stories planned that I want to post, but I don't now if I'll ever make them a reality. For now though I'm just going to put something here that was the first real thing I actually wrote for fun. I hope you enjoy.
The Horseman’s Journey
Decay, Sickness, Destruction, and Death
These four shall bring about the end of all things
I stand tall with my brothers as we sit upon our mounts
The eldest upon the brown, the second upon the black
Myself upon the red, and the youngest upon the pale
The second follows the eldest, and I follow the second
With the youngest following us all
As we ride together I wonder why
Why are we here? Why do we stay? Why do we never stop?
All these questions lead back to our parents
Our unwavering mother, always constant and unchanging
And our chaotic father, never satisfied or pleased
He constantly travels, searching for happiness
And the four of us follow in his footsteps
I wish this journey to be over, but that won’t happen until our father finally stops
We will follow him until he finds happiness or destroys himself looking for it
We four horsemen ride together, following our father, never leaving our mother
And until the end, we shall ride together
So yeah, it's just a little something. Until next time.
