    Viator Erratus on hiatus

I'm working on two other stories and honestly I don't really enjoy writing long winded stuff like this so... not sure if I'll ever get back to Viator Erratus.

    Knowing when to stop.

I re-read one of my absolutely favorite fantasy novels of all time. It's not important which it is. What's important is that it wasn't as good as I remembered it, it was better. Except one problem, a rather common problem with authors both fantasy and otherwise. The story was perfect up until the end, where it ran for half a chapter longer than it needed.

    Spoiler alert!

I might just be posting the final chapter of Viator Erratus ahead of everything else. Not sure. At any rate, to avoid spoilers (if you want to avoid spoilers) don't read it.

    Wohoo! My first dislikes!

I was just given my first dislikes on anything, ever! A milestone as an Internet content producer!

It's not a big milestone but it's a milestone. Maybe I should celebrate? How do you celebrate that?

    What did they even dislike?

    Quantity, not quality...

FiMfiction still doesn't accept short stories below a thousand words, disqualifying most of my works. I'm sure there's a good reason for this seemingly arbitrary limit...

I was just given my first dislikes on anything, ever! A milestone as an Internet content producer!

It's not a big milestone but it's a milestone. Maybe I should celebrate? How do you celebrate that?

What did they even dislike?

They didn't validate their opinions whatsoever which is, I guess, pretty typical of opinions on less mature forums on the Internet. Everyone has an opinion, nobody cares to motivate it, if they even can.

What do I learn from this apart for the fact that someone, somewhere was unhappy enough with my story that they took the effort to press the thumbs down button?

Nothing.

What did they dislike? I don't know. Did they even read the story? I don't know. I have to assume they did, since they formulated an opinion about it, even if that opinion was nothing but a click on an icon. Because nobody on the Internet would form an uninformed opinion, now would they?

Of course not.

Silly me.

To the (at the moment of writing) one person who pressed the like button, in case you didn't press it by mistake since it's right next to that other button, well, I'm glad you liked my story! Feel free to tell me what you liked and I'll see if I can't put in more of that the next time! Some people create art for the sake of art, but I create art to make people happy. People like you. Pat yourself on the back and feed yourself a muffin, because you are a great person.

To the ones who pressed the dislike button and didn't even tell me what was wrong, well... I was going to draw you a response, but then I remembered I already did.
