    Revival

So, I had a strange dream last night involving a everybody's favorite dog Screwloose, a tabletop RPG, and lots and lots of chaos magic.

I didn't realize what it was about until about an hour or so ago ago, one of those stories I declared dead. You know the one: Infinite Possibilities

    So, about my inactivity...

I blame League of Legends. Seriously, that game is addictive, especially when you're playing with friends.

But in spite of such a tasty distraction, I've actually managed to get some stuff done! Huzzah! There's one itsy-bitsy little problem with this, however...

    Hey guys, guess what?

    I'm not dead! :D

No, I've just been brainstorming up a storm as well as exercising my roleplaying legs a bit, and I think its time to start talking about this new brainchild I've been working on~

    But first, an announcement:

Infinite Possibilities is now officially dead...

    Kinda.

Heyo internet folk and welcome to this blogly thingy that'll explain just what voting and correctly answering pointless trivia questions does for you and the story: They change it, plain and simple. :P

First up, the concept that's probably the easiest to grasp: the Trivia questions.

What are they? Seemingly random questions I dare readers to answer correctly in exchange for an exclusive decision that can and will alter the direction the story goes.
Why would you make this an option? Because I want some unpredictability in the path of this story as I write it. If I make all the decisions alone then odds are the story will grow predictable and tedious for me to write. Variety is the spice of life, so if I leave a major decision such a "Who does Gallant grow the closest to during his stay?" up to a reader, then I get the challenge of trying to make things work and write differently than normal and the winner gets to actively alter the direction the story heads and be credited in the description for their contribution!
Why should I try for this? As I stated before, because then you have a chance at getting a direct say in what happens or at the very least get to discuss the topic with me so we can decide together.
Why are the questions so random/pointless/hard? Did you think I'd make it easy to earn a purple pen of power? Really?

Now for the more complicated part: Tech Influence.

This is a bit more tricky to understand but definitely the concept I'm the most proud of, Tech Influence is just that, the reader base being allowed to indirectly influence the way Gallant's ever improving arsenal of geeky gear... Improves. Chapter four will make this more apparent as to why, but events between chapter three and four render most of Gallant's suit's impressive list of features useless and/or in a state of great disrepair... Also, the fact he doesn't want to stuck in his armor the rest of his stay has something to do with it to...

But regardless, the Ginger Engineer will have to salvage pieces of equipment from the armor and adapt them to other uses/find a way to get them to work again, and then once he's cobbled together something useful he's going to want to improve upon it.

That's where you people's votes come in.

By voting either Chaos or Harmony at the end of every chapter, you get a say in just what Gallant may make/upgrade and how.

For example: if I had decided that his base RIG would be the target of the next CvH influenced upgrade and the tally comes up Chaos in the lead, then I the upgrade would be most likely be something that would allow him to cause more havoc in combat, like a self contained adrenaline/shock therapy module that would improve his overall performance when active. However, if harmony were to be picked the upgrade would probably be more support based or not have many combat applications, like an upgrade to his TK (telekinetic) module that allows for greater control and maneuvering over objects.

However... not all chaos upgrades are combat focused, and not all harmony upgrades are support focused.

Example #1: Harmony upgrade: Functioning Stasis Module! "Time to slow some timberwolves down real good!"
Example #2: Chaos upgrade: Functioning Hover Board! "Scoots is gonna be so jelly when she sees me on this thing. :3"

Get the picture?

Great! Just keep in mind that the aforementioned examples are not guarantees that heading down this path or that one will yield this upgrade or that one, merely ideas to get you folk thinking of the possibilities.

Now that all of that's outa the way, here's a little announcement/spoiler:

CvH tally will be reset when the next chapter hits due to upgrades/discoveries happening next chapter!

VOTE WHILE YOU STILL CAN!
