    Brain no work-y

Well, it looks like 2 updates per week might be a bit much for me, if I'm going to have the parts this long. We'll play this one by ear, but it's looking like this part is going to take 2 days. Argh.

If I manage to get something worked out today, then yay, but I don't foresee myself finishing part 2. The story has taken a life of its own already, and I don't like where it's headed.

    Enter The Doctor

All right, now I've got the storyline for my next fiction all laid out. It looks like it's a 13-parter, so at 2 parts a week, it should take 1.5 months or so.

In other news, I figured out how groups work, and I jumped into a few of those. So there's that.

Part 2 of Doctor Hooves and the Flower Girls should be here Saturday.

    Wha-bam, a finished a story!

    Victory!

Well, now that that's done, I guess I have to get started on the next one. The next one is going to focus on Dr. Hooves and his time-skipping adventures with two temporally-significant fillies. It's going to be fun trying to think of adventures that can be had throughout space and time that remain canonical, because I'm a stickler for continuity.

Holy high Hannah, I am bad at updates

So, it turns out my attention span is about as long as...ooo, something shiny!

Anyway, I know that I started a story about 6 months ago, and it was reasonably well received. I then left it hanging. Good job, me.

    Darn, too many ideas

Man, having too much story is a terrible problem, right?

So "Eyes of the Beholder" is going to be more than a few chapters. I guess I've got my work cut out for me.

Stories · 3:08am Apr 22nd, 2013

So, I've been a story guy for a long time. Apparenly, I wasn't aware that this site existed until about 2 hours ago. Since then, I have registered, written my first chapter of a new story I got the idea for around 3 hours ago, and started the second. Now my brain is burned out, so it's break time.

But that doesn't mean I can't let the world know what I'm doing! Hi, blog!

Anyways, my first story is "Eyes of the Beholder," and it is written in a style that could easily be adapted as an episode of the show. Shorter, with chapter breaks where commercial breaks could be. It chronicles the adventures of Derpy getting her eyes fixed and finding out that being normal isn't as good as being yourself. My intentions with this story is to recast Derpy as more than just a background pony (three cheers for the fanbase), while still being respectful of the special needs community. This part is difficult, since they are why Derpy doesn't see as much screen time. However, I think I can do it, so watch and read.

My second story is actually one I started a while ago: "Doctor Whooves and the Flower Girls." I'm sure that if I spent some time on this site and started reading all the stories contained, I would find plenty that deal with Celestia and Luna's origins. However, I haven't read all the stories, and I had my idea independently, so nya. Anyways, it's a time-travelling adventure wherein two sisters find out that their destiny is greater than even Doctor Whooves realizes. This one will be longer. MUCH longer. I expect 1 chapter for intro (pretty much done already), 2 each for each time period they travel to (the first one is the purchasing of Mane-hatten from the indigenous buffalo), then a few more at the end to bring the story to a close and bring the past and the future together in the present. Time travel is difficult to write; this one will take some time.

Anyways, that's my plans. Time to make Red Baron pizza and eat Fudge-sicles!

(Note: I'm 25. I'm not ashamed to say that Fudge-sicles are delicious.)
