The edits and revisions for Had a Rough Day are more-or-less complete, and I'll probably be republishing it shortly, so this is just a heads-up to everyone in the event that they see it in their notifications. I wouldn't want anyone to be disappointed when they don't find a brand new chapter or something.
Normally I wouldn't unpublish just to do some revisions, but I really wasn't happy at all with the original. When the new site layout started plopping it up there whenever any of my stories were read, I couldn't just let it sit there, grabbing attention and leaving people with a bad impression and such. So I took it down temporarily. I do hope this doesn't run afoul of any particular site rule.
Anyway, just a bit about the edits I've made - I always felt that the story had some really rough dialog flow and could have been paced much more smoothly. I've tried to patch up those problems as best I could and also added some little things here and there. Overall, the content is largely the same as before, but I think it's much more readable. At the very least, I'm not horribly ashamed of it anyway.
You know, I really do like the characters and situation in this story. I think about doing a followup now and then, but it just hasn't panned out. Oh well.
