Promises for Pony Showdown Chapter 4 · 8:57pm Mar 20th, 2012
I am aware that chapter 3 of Pony Showdown (Pinkie Pie Gnaws Best) is noticably shorter than the others. Fear not, the average word count is not decreasing as the chapters go on! I literally put everything I wanted to have in PPGB and it turned out to be shorter than I expected. I feel you guys might crave more, so I'll give you a synposis for chapter 4! (if this gets good enough reception I might just do this after every chapter ;) )
Pony Showdown - Chapter 4: Diamond in the Rough (credit to 92snakeman for inspiration of the title!)
The following morning of their long day, the monks help the ponies through some intense Shen Gong Wu training where they learn some good skills that can be useful later on. After this, Spike and Dojo sense a new Shen Gong Wu. The Emerald of Guang; an emerald with the ability to shoot smaller gemstones from it's core. These gemstones are composed of light energy and are very sharp. Rarity is determined to get this Shen Gong Wu and once again encounters Wuya in the gem mine where it is hidden.
The Emerald of Guang is an idea for a Shen Gong Wu I've had for some time now (around 6 years?). 92snakeman suggested the exact idea in the comments to chapter 2 so I decided his name for it was a good title; well done! This was my OC's Wu when I used to imagine my own self-insert Xiaolin Showdown adventures as a kid so I was going to introduce it anyway!
So hope you're not dissapointed by the length of Pinkie Pie Gnaws Best, but it's got a little surpise in it! Happy reading!
