New batch of stories · 5:18am Apr 17th, 2013
So I'm here watching T.v. and browsing through the newly posted stories on the site and they are phenominal! To say the very least. The upvote v downvote ratio is amazing! I've read a few of them too and they are in fact pretty good. So my confidence in my story writing ability has been shot xD. So I want some advice from all of my readers/followers on what you guys look for in a good fic before you even read it. Something that catches your eye that makes you wanna say "Wow this fic looks awesome... OMG 10 CHAPTERS OF IT! READ ALL THE CHAPTERS TONIGHT!" sort of deal. Along with that what makes you and or gives you the incentive to give that said fic an upvote a favorite or even follow the author. I ask this because I don't really come across many fics that make me want to do any of those things. And I would like to get an idea of what you the reader like to view.
For me, it takes a story that has managed to get the reader invested into the work to get a favorite, and for a writer to get watched takes multiple stories with this done consistently. Upvotes I am far more liberal in my use of, largely of when I just approve of the story and what it has so far but I don't necessarily have an interest in following it through to the end.
Also, late reply is late.
